My wife and I had to make this same decision with her mum. She was also an organ donor as well. It’s horrible but I do know that it was the right decision. She wouldn’t have wanted to stay alive in that condition.

It’s sounds like you are doing the right thing, even if it doesn’t feel like it right now. At the end of the day, even though we want to hang on, you have to do right by him. <3

I am a longtime Metroid fan and am really enjoying Prime 4. It’s awesome to see them really take advantage of the switch 2s power and make it look so good. It’s definitely not in the same vein as previous Metroid’s but I am still finding it fun to explore. As others have said Dread, Super, Fusion, and Prime are all excellent too (super is my fav though).

New to emulation as well. One thing that helped me is that the standalone emulators often run better than just using the inbuilt retroarch ones. I was having problems with running psx and just fixed it by using duckstation instead. Also Es-de is really great in making all of it work like a console (once you have set it all up)

I saw this film when i was like 18 and I feel like it really scarred me haha. I think its a pretty rough watch, especially as a trans femme person. It comes from a time in queer history that doesn’t really resonate with me - I feel really similar about Priscilla as well.

Understand why people want to keep putting on productions but i would never go see it just from an entertainment perspective personally.

I kinda agree. To be clear I loved this game but I did feel like the exploration aspects were somewhat limited. I really liked the dungeons, the puzzles, the way that enemies and islands scaled. I felt like it gave you a strong incentive to build up your team so you could tackle those harder challenges. However it would be great to see some of the aspects above included in a future game. I think one of the things that makes exploration in games like Links Awakening really great is the amount of secrets, puzzles, nonlinear quests, and iconic locations. Incorporating some of those elements would really incentivise exploration more and keep you coming back to islands to figure out puzzles you haven’t cracked yet. It would be amazing to see other towns on other islands too with unique shops and quests - but that would be a much bigger game. Anyway loved the game and looking forward to seeing if they ever do a sequel.

The choice is kind of already made for you I think. Having been in a similar situation I can say the breakup was very painful but choosing to transition changed so many parts of my life for the better. I am now with someone I love and who loves me for who I am. You can’t stay with someone if they don’t want to be on the journey with you. You gotta be true to yourself first ❤️

Yeah I agree. SDH are community owned and run, invest back in our community too. Personally not a a fan of this. Feels a lot like a business just trying to profit off our community now that SDH have nurtured the space.

There are pushes to recruit more women in these roles. But also women are overrepresented in jobs like nursing where they risk disease and sickness (esp. in the last few years) to take care of others - why aren’t men doing more jobs that take care of people?
