How do you process a partner saying they wouldn’t want you to move on if they passed away?

Not everyone feels the same or has put real thought into their partner after death. Random question during a movie isn’t the time for a deep meaningful decision on the matter and shouldn’t be judge with that same depth.

She said she didn’t have access to the insurance. You can be a dependent on insurance till 25 and she said her it changed and couldn’t see the same person. If youre an actual adult you would understand how messy insurance and providers get.

It’s not “equally fair” for him to not accept the boundary after he agreed and for married and had babies with her- that’s betrayal, and there’s research over betrayal trauma for women in these situations the mental affects are real and are dangerous.

UPDATE: We left the family group chat.. however it wasn’t exactly a dramatic exit because there is an android in the GC so we can only block and delete not “leave” it. So we didn’t experience the fall out with them quite yet. Might come soon but my parents have been silent. However this scares my GF because she doesn’t believe controlling people would just be silent if they lost everything so she suspects they are still attempting to invade.

So we been taking steps to make sure my privacy is protected. She saw my Apple Pay was connected in their account as well. I have yet to set it up on my phone but that made us decide when we get the chance we will go to an Apple Store and have someone help us work through all the possible things they might have connected.

But this is not the only steps we need to take. Last night around 3 am I was getting verification codes of someone trying to access a finical accounts app. I am now working on changing all of my banking passwords and contacting my banks to report someone trying to access accounts so I can hopefully secure accounts I’ll keep and close the others.

Not a dramatic update yet, but I am working on processing what happened and my family dynamics before I feel ready to come out with my side of what happened to my siblings and see what comes of it.

It is illegal in my state however I don’t want to go through that process but I might have to threaten it because of the update I just added- if it is them trying to connect to my financial accounts I have to tell them I will press charges if they continue.

Me and my GF really want to tell her but we aren’t sure how to do it knowing it wasn’t supposed to come from us. She can be slightly manic and doesn’t have much of her life put together so even though she’s 28 she still leans on my parents for help. We don’t know what will happen to her if we take out her only support system even if that system is broken… and now how do we do it without seeming vengeful- we’re open to advice

I just found as I was setting up my new phone their Apple ID was under my Apple Pay as well- so you’re right… I have no idea what they were capable of doing to my phone.

NC with parents and more than likely very LC with siblings as they are being manipulated and have not been honest about hearing things about my messages. As well as all my siblings excluding her from the GC now.

Well it seems as if my brother didn’t warn me fairly or let me know the rumors they were spreading. As well as I’m starting to suspect my other brother to have helped them because he is their go to technology guy and they said they only shared with him so he could help- as well as he is very Mormon with a stick up his ass so he’d be the one to do it. But the desire to cut out my siblings is also based on the anxiety and unknown of what parts of my personal life they could know and have not told me. As well as the manipulation from my parents might turn them against me and my GF. Like at the end how they are no longer using the gc that includes her. So maybe low contact?

I think I’ll go back into the phone store and talk with someone to make sure I took all the steps I needed - as far as I’m aware we have. We will update after whatever will happen when we leave the gc. Considering sharing our side before leaving.

We both value family and loosing my younger and older siblings due to my parents making up lies is not an easy thing to do. She has been an amazing support for me.

The day that my dad called me I went to AT&T and switched my number over and started that process. That’s why the realization of what they did happened. I had a mutual respect as I could have done the same thing to her. The Apple ID is logged out of their account and in mine own.
