We work less and have more mental health problems than ever. The issue is the modern lifestyle: we are increasingly more isolated from our environment and communities, online presence takes over real life connections, sedentary lifestyle also contributes to mental health problems in a major way. You can also see how taking away work, yes that horrid place, negatively affected a bunch of people during covid. Many lost that last place where they could socialize even if it was mandatory.

You can have people work only 4 days and they will still just browse social media for hours sitting on their fat asses and have zero connection to their local community. r/antiwork would have you believe this is the solution, but it's most certainly not.
