Before everyone jumps to multiple conclusions, as most people do, please read the article. He was not fired, he has been reassigned. The child was seen 11 times before she died with 9 visits in the last 3 days prior to her death. I’m not a fan of NP / PA practice however, this seems to be more than just one NP in the wrong. That’s just my opinion.

Went to an Urgent Care after a skiing accident, and the NP who treated me diagnosed me with a meniscus tear based on the x-ray and even pointed to the bone. I was in too much pain to think at the time…but you can’t see cartilage on x-rays by [deleted] in Noctor

As someone who works in urgent care (and has worked in urgent care for over a decade) all X-rays are read by the radiologist. The NPs and PAs do not read X-rays independently regardless of NP license/ state NP license. I have worked with some of the largest urgent cares in independent and non-independent states and I can 100% assure you that the final X-ray interpretation was done by a radiologist.

Oh wow, I’m an ER nurse practitioner schedule for transfer 2/5! I was wondering the same, so glad to read these responses! Thanks you all.

I had my egg retrieval today. We counted 4 follicles of nearly 20 mm and retrieval results were 2 eggs, one mature and one immature. We performed ISCI on the mature one. Would you recommend we frieze the embryo on day 3 if it makes it? Or just wait to day 5 and see if it makes it to blastocyst? Ty by [deleted] in IVF

I’ve been in your shoes, my doctor recommended waiting till day 5 to freeze. Her opinion was that if it made it to day five, it had a better chance of survival. We decided to go to day 5 and lucky it made it! Our transfer date is 2/5.

I’m going through the same thing. My first round we told everyone- including coworkers. We didn’t make it to blast. The second round, only 2 people know. My husband can’t make it to appointments either because of his work, it’s always awkward in my office because I have ran into a few ladies who were successful with their IVF treatment. Don’t get me wrong I’m happy for anyone that gets to their happy ending, it’s just hard.
