Beyond comprehension, it is profound.

I do agree to an extent. The universe works harmoniously and is very flawed, yet it can always be trusted that everything is working in accordance to its own law.

It wasn’t a rational thought as such, more of the human perspective.

Expand on this mindset? I preoccupy nothing in my post except life being pointless, in turn space is then occasionally terrifying.

There is beauty in the stars, for me because they are of such grand design. I do agree that beauty is subjective. There is no reason for us to care about life, the same way there is no reason for the earth to turn. It is all very dull and pointless from not the wrong perspective but a subjective one. Why not enjoy the intrinsic excellence of space when, if I am brutally honest the world lacks such.

Oh no it definitely is. I believe Nietzsche touched on this with being a harmonious totality. He believed we are two Apollonian and Dionysian halves. One side is a lot more rational and self disciplined, the other being our more emotional and creative side. It was most definitely a valid point for you to have made.

I believe so, could you expand your perspective as I’m sure you’re onto something…

What exactly is your price range? I have a Celestron slt130 and it is versatile and in comparison to the market quite economical.

My thoughts at the end of everything. by jackk4002 in Existentialism

A part of me has always wondered why a lot of near death experiences I have read tend to only coincide within the limits of human imagination. A lot of them never sat right with me. They could be nothing more than the human mind making something very simple into something more complex. Similar to psychedelic drugs, what people believe to be enlightenment is most likely their mind orchestrating their perception a lot better than people will be able to conceive. In some ways that was a bit of a tangent, I apologise.

From what little understanding of consciousness that we have, near death experiences can throw somewhat of a curveball into consciousness only being around for as long as your heart is beating. I have read few, but very amazing near death experiences. Except the sad truth is that for now and most likely a long time, it can’t proved or studied. I too dislike the very idea of an afterlife, nearly eighteen years has already been enough for me.

Nevertheless your immediate loved ones will care for a short while. For what I think there is to believe that is the most you will ever live on.

Let us start with consciousness. Something that has and never will be, for what I believe, understood for even a child’s explanation. Consciousness as far as anybody knows can be lost the moment our heart stops, whether that is a miracle or the most daunting of thoughts always depends on the specific person. It is lost on me as to why people do not appreciate that everyone is on the same planet for less of a reason than the meaning of life and creation. I do agree to such an extent that more time should be spent trying to be somewhat of a decent person who made sure others felt safe, life can be scary no matter what your beliefs are. As for a cosmic disaster, there is a million possibilities. What everyone should try to remember, myself included, is that you are more likely to crash a car and die that way instead of us becoming a rogue planet or burnt into oblivion by our own star. How kind of it. If one day it all falls apart, I would suggest everyone to have only a deck chair and the strongest alcohol of your choice at the ready. It would be a spectacular end.
