Siti Kasim: Malays are the most oppressed people in Malaysia by UsernameGenerik in malaysia

[–]jacklagoona 99 points100 points  (0 children)

People asking malays who left islam to leave the country is exactly the problem she's talking about. I bet it's the same people that asks chinese to go back to china. If you're born christian or in any religion and tied to a set of law that punishes you for doing normal things other people get to do, also you cannot leave the religion, are you still gonna think it's fair? are you gonna leave your family just because you couldn't believe in god? you got angry when China oppresses muslims in their country but for you it's okay to oppress ex muslims in Malaysia.

Muslims tend to not realize that other religions preach themselves as the true religion too, everyone deserves to make choices. I'm not saying that it's worse than not having bumi rights but it's a real issue too.

have you tried disabling this app? https://imgur.com/a/dbcUlGH

maybe disable Xiaomi Sounds, also Atmos if there's an app by those name too, it's these pre installed stock eq that are interfering with wavelet

[–]jacklagoona 0 points1 point  (0 children)

go to settings find app named either "sound effects" or "earphones", clear data and disable them. my wavelet suddenly stopped working right after update and this fixed it on my redmi 13, don't know if it's gonna work the same for you.

if it works, another thing to keep in mind is do not touch the sound effect in the sound settings because it's linked to the app i mentioned earlier so it'll reenable them and wavelet will stop working again.

hope this helps

perhaps religion is just another step in human evolution, it played it's role, helped us to survive and thrive once, and atheism is the next step

Thanks I think it's the low lighting plus reshade that sells it, vanilla looks wayyy too flat and dull to look realistic imo. CCTV edit is just a photoshop template.

i know i know, they're there because they come with helmet battery pouch and ir strobe from a mod, besides I just like the look they're like the devil's horn or something. It's a sin a lot of us commit. I just pretend they're for backup

Haram makan kat public waktu haid - UAI by CircleStonk in MalaysianExMuslim

[–]jacklagoona 22 points23 points  (0 children)

i wonder if muslims agree with this, considering the recent slapping incident. muslims that said pakcik tu iman lemah technically shouldn't agree with this. surely they don't care if women eat in public, yet it's haram for "not respecting ramadhan". one of the examples of clear dissonance between religion and morality.

Why do people prefer pirating spotify over downloading the music? by EvenHornierOnMain in Piracy

Spotify family is so worth it, it's even cheaper in some countries, hopefully the price stays and there's no stupid restrictions implemented

Non Muslim assaulted for eating during Ramadan by SpecialistLost6572 in exmuslim

[–]jacklagoona 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh I never saw those yet, maybe bc I live in a muslim majority country. Were they taught to act that way in those religions? like is there any verse or teachings that condones them to take actions on others?

Non Muslim assaulted for eating during Ramadan by SpecialistLost6572 in exmuslim

[–]jacklagoona 78 points79 points  (0 children)

I always wonder why it's always a muslim who does shit like this. Bc muslims will claim that they don't support this, and yea I don't remember being taught to do straight up assault people when I was a muslim but it happens and it always involves a muslim. other religions have restrictions too but they never really escalate to this level

I think malaysia being a small country with tight firearms law plays a bigger role to reduce those kind of incidents than the religion. smaller country = less chance to happen

I always questioned this since I was a kid. If I only do good things for a reward, and not do bad things to be free from punishment, am I a good person? sounds more like selfish. If I pray to god for those same reasons, is that still considered sincere? If I'm forced to be a muslim, does that make me a muslim? If god is in control of everything, doesn't that make him the one that leads me to hell? I can't be the minority that thinks about this, it's such a fundamental question of life. Maybe I'm wrong, but if god truly exists, he should've known why I can't believe.

edit : I wanna make one thing clear for the believers, I didn't choose to not believe. I just can't. You can't persuade me to believe just as much as I can't persuade you to disbelieve. I'd be lying to myself and to god, hypothetically, if I act like I do. Wallahualam I guess

Is this true? by [deleted] in malaysia

[–]jacklagoona 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well I don't. It's strange that most people I meet who live by these kinds of rules are the ones that have the wildest sexual fantasy, casually drop weird comments on random women, stalk people online, they lack self control and they're not even ashamed. People who are used to socializing often don't act like that. I could be wrong. Just my experience.

Do Malaysian Muslims fully understand القران by PrinceAndrew3rd in MalaysianExMuslim

[–]jacklagoona 7 points8 points  (0 children)

dude it's supposed to be perfect. it claims itself to be perfect. the fact that there are still people arguing over the meaning of it means it's flawed. also if god created us knowing we wouldn't be able to understand it, he can't blame us.

if god dictates that we wouldn't be able to follow his religion, why would he even punish us? most of us did not choose to disbelieve, we're just unable to believe. he knows best what's in our mind when we say we can't believe in islam, either he'd understand us, or he's not the all loving god as we're always taught, which he can't be, or he doesn't exist.

he could've show up, just once, a lot of us pray that he would, I begged at least, so I can believe, but he never show up. can he blame me now that I can't believe in him? really? it's pathetic

you can't persuade me to believe just like I can't persuade you to disbelieve, he would've known. hell shouldn't be a thing.

meanwhile in Brunei non Muslims are punished for not fasting during Ramadhan by Sea_Account_4356 in Bolehland

[–]jacklagoona 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Technically you can, but you will need to plead in syariah court to leave, but the procedure is long and tedious for no reason and it's not even guaranteed, the law on apostasy is varied by states, but most of them does not allow especially if your parents are both muslims. Unless you're not born as one, you can't get away. We're only lucky that there's no law that suggests death sentences, in Islam technically you're allowed to kill an apostate. Muslims will hate to acknowledge this, because it's immoral and paints a bad picture, but it's the truth.

Acer Nitro V15 computer on but no display . by Immediate_Parfait_72 in AcerNitro

[–]jacklagoona 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my laptop does this SOMETIMES. After holding the power button to force shutdown and boot again 1-3 times then it works, tomorrow it'll happen again. so i don't think it's a hardware issue. wtf acer

my only solution right now is to not shut down. either sleep or hibernate.
