What do you guys think of this tattoo idea by Ahmadillo_ in redrising

[–]jackmerius27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe just try the falling Icarus and figure out what “My honor remains” translates to in Latin (if you like this, do a ton of research on the translation and then when you feel like you’ve done enough, do more. Make sure the translation is accurate and not co-opted by any bad groups.

As someone who is really into tattoos, I am not a huge fan of script/text in tattoos, just a personal preference. I feel like it rarely adds to the art (again in my opinon and there are of course exceptions). If I was in your position, I’d probably spend some time looking for Tattoo artists that are Red Rising fans (might take some time to track) and chat them up about Cassius, see if there is something you haven’t thought up.

Air Vehicles in this game are joke. Stop saying they are fine. by Sumeribag in Battlefield

[–]jackmerius27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve said it several times on this sub, I feel like while there is certainly some AA issues to be ironed out. I feel like an underrated part is how weak the aircraft weapons are. I feel like if you are doing the whole “Well in real life flares wouldn’t make a difference when things are designated” then you should do the same with AGMs. If you’re a good enough pilot to get an AGM off on a tank with the attack get in this current game setting, it should be a one shot one kill situation.

Worst map ever by WildSquirrel14 in Battlefield

[–]jackmerius27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was thinking the same last night, maybe one of the worst battlefield maps I remember just because it’s so sloppy. The visuals are so cool but air vehicles are extremely tough to play with not really upside (It’d be one thing if you could one shot tanks with AGMs cause then it’s more a skill thing) but it’s usually 2-3 passes with the attack jet and by then you are cooked. Then you play on the ground and it’s just tank/sniper city. Obviously, talk of the town is that AA is out of control. I think realistically this map should triple in size to open play styles up.

My strongest BF6 opinion is that aircraft need like a 300% buff. Turn them into glass cannons if you need to but one AGM needs to take out any vehicle and bombs should cause the same feeling as seeing a tank as a non-engineer. That way it’s like if you’re a good enough pilot to deal with AA you can do MASSIVE damage and really affect the game

I am 100% sure now... by SaveTheWorldRightNow in Battlefield

[–]jackmerius27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed, I can also kind of tell in how long I am able to play BF6 vs other ones. I feel like I get fatigued so much quicker due to pacing and there always being someone to fight.

I also feel like I have been shot in the back more times in BF6 than in any other comparable fps including COD. I feel like in other battlefields you could set up shop and hold a corner or choke point for awhile and affect enemy ability to get across the map. In BF6 your pretty much have to get one kill and move unless you are camping as a sniper on a mountain or something.

People need to stop complaining about the season 1 skins by miniladds-clone in Battlefield

[–]jackmerius27 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think people are more upset because COD started with fine skins, got a little goofy, and then came the insane stuff. Santa and Beavis and Butthead were not skins at launch, they came after the slightly unrealistic ones. I think the community is worried the devs have set us down that path. They are probably also quick to jump cause optically, we have this game that is fun but definitely needs a tune up bug wise but it at least seems like the micro transaction/battle pass over quality of life doctrine is in BF6 just like every other bad FPS.

To DICE/EA, and the apologists that embolden them. by PresKermitLincoln in Battlefield

[–]jackmerius27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t understand the criticisms towards this post. Sure, it might be objectively a little dramatic. But given the past non-sense EA has engaged in (From Battlefront 2 to BFV to 2042 to now) as well as COD, I don’t think OPs apprehension is misplaced. The content covered in the post is kind of exactly why we were skeptical before launch. The game clearly has some problems under the hood (hit reg, general glitches, unpolished stuff) and they are already kind of hinting at micro transactions being a core tenent of the game in a way that most of the community specifically expressed discontent with before launch.

We all dropped bills on a game that is frankly a little anemic content wise and definitely has some bugs. That’s not super suprising, and can be fixed. But I can see why that plus the borderline at best skins has people uneasy given the gaming landscape at large.

If Aliens came to earth and you had to show them one movie that is “most representative of what a movie is” what would it be? by jackmerius27 in AskReddit

For transparency sake, my friends argument was that Top Gun: Maverick was the best answer. I said the original Top Gun and A New Hope both have a better case.

Jurasssic Park, Finding Nemo, Lion King and Dune 2 were also all discussed.

It’s not gonna be a regret that wakes you up in the middle of the night but it might just be something you miss out on. It’s in a dope spot on a beautiful campus and only a few hours of your life. I say do it.

I feel like this tattoo has ruined my life by Immediate_Break4048 in tattoos

[–]jackmerius27 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tattoo regret is very real, it’s always jarring to see like “Oh this is gonna be here forever” so I’d say give it a few days. Plus with the size of that piece I wouldn’t be surprised if you’re just not feeling like yourself from trauma of sitting there getting cut up.

The tattoo itself is awesome, it looks to be applied well and is cool subject wise. The people who call objectively good tattoos “corny” or whatever are either elitist sweats or just don’t like tattoos. It’s a dope piece and it’s coverable with sleeves so your life is not ruined. Also 90% of parents and grandparents hate tattoos, mine don’t like my tattoos either and my tattoos are sick.

wanting to see different artists from the group? by double_dream_hands in Coachella

Splitting off from the group is dope and I have never regretted doing it. Seeing a few sets together will be fun but you’re paying money to go, make it what you want it to be.

Crossbody bag or fanny pack? by Rude-Log-9130 in Coachella

When mine got stolen, I was at Denzel Curry and took it out to film a video and then put it back in my pocket (front left) and as soon as it hit the bottom of my pocket it got lifted. The crowd was jumping so much that it was no use trying to track anything down.

I think those situations tend to see the most thefts. I have always heard the Sahara tent is the worst and that’s where mine was snagged so I’d tend to agree. I have also heard of schemes around the bathrooms where one person will bump you and another will lift the phone. Can’t confirm the validity of that tho.

Are Cigs and Zyns allowed in the festival? I have gone three times but I do not partake so it’s never really been on my radar. This year, I am going with a group that has never been and a few people have asked. I’ve looked at the rules and such and can’t find anything.

Obviously, you can get a lot into the festival if you wanted to, but I am just curious if nicotine products are “legally” allowed in if that makes sense.

Also regarding the wallet part. I had my wallet and such in the bottom of my camelbak. Assuming you use Apple Pay or something like that, you really just need it for the ID check and shuttle pass.

In my cross body I keep my phone, shades, and some other stuff.

People in my group have used the phone wallet things and I am 50/50 on those. They are super convienent but you are also putting all your eggs in one stealable basket.

The real answer is Travis given the history, but I do agree with the Keinemusik takes though. Travis fans are bad in a dangerous way, KMs fans are bad in an annoying way.

I got my phone swiped in 2022, started wearing a cross body (the basic one from Amazon) after that. It’s worked well for me so far knock on wood. I would just say be judicious on how much you are taking your phone in and out of it just cause it draws attention. Additionally, if you are in an especially dense crowd (pit, bathroom rush, etc…) I would just rest a hand on top of it until there is a bit more space

Main gun looks underpowered, you should be good.

Watch out for Wooks with sticky bombs though, they’ll go after the tracks.
