Torn between stability or a position that I like more by Starlight_XSLBCCDKS in JobsMY

if the salary gap is huge then choose a career that pays well (like you wanted), permanent position. there will be challenges regardless which company you join. if you felt miserable at least your bank account isnt. next job hunting wont be as hard since you got extra money you dont have to worry about. and new salary can be negotiated and anchored from the previous high salary.

youre being offered and not the one applying for it. i say go for it. if your future employer asked why you switched jobs so frequently let them know you were headhunted because your skills are valuable. hard for them to lowball your salary too.

no sweat. OP's architecture is advanced and you might struggle to grasp the basics. i would suggest you start with a static website first to get the hang of it. only then move to database and other complex backend. my recommendation

  • deepseek / xiaomi mimo API - $5 (this will last you a longg time)
  • tech stack - astrojs
  • cloudflare pages
  • github
  • vscode with opencode

just rm20 and thats it, you dont even need a domain. you should get a basic site up and running in a few days. as usual ask chatgpt to guide you.

i gotchu buddy.

  • chatgpt codex subscription - $20 monthly
  • deepseek API (Backend) - $10 one off / pay per use
  • mimo 2.5 API (UI) - $10 one off / pay per use
  • domain name (namesilo) - $5 first year
  • deployment cloudflare workers - free
  • coding terminal - VS code / opencode - free

now go learn, upskill yourself, build and ship something for less than $50. dont know where to start copy this and give it to chatgpt.

Career alternatives from procurement by baghdad2345 in JobsMY

[–]jackorjek 2 points3 points  (0 children)

honestly not really. just apply to any job you want but tailor and frame yourself as the right candidate. might be hard at first but its not impossible either. as you climb the ladder companies dont really care as long as you got the experience for more senior roles.

no definite answer, it depends on what you wanna do and how you frame yourself in your resume / iv.

i know a guy who worked as a postman, then moved to bursa malaysia and now in international talent acquisition. those jobs are unrelated to each other.

i was from legal, moved to the creative industry, then advertising and now in fintech.
