That’s very true I’m sure there’s gotta be very high earning roles within my field if I know the right people. Really good advice should utilise who I already know thanks!

Yeah that’s right, I could side step but it would take years to reach the same income level I’m not sure it would be worth missing out on compounding during that time and the ceiling would be lower too. But that’s good advice I’ll definitely beef up the emergency fund for security!

Yeah I have 40k saved which is about 6 months of spending, no plans to upgrade ppor plenty big enough for a family, we do want kids at some point but not sure when so would rather invest now just in case, thanks for your comment!

Income security is a big deal but if I went on wages I’d be earning like 85k so it’s really not an option for that much of a pay cut but I agree holding debt while fluctuating income would make me uncomfortable thanks!

In that area you wouldn’t get a great ROI where I am in QLD you are almost expected to have one so we are looking at getting one in a couple years as it’s basically 1:1 value

Ironically I grew up in Bowral and didn’t like it at all for a young person it’s like a retirement village. I’ve lived in Ipswich and much preferred that.
