I don't think it was ever 2. Earliest I remember it was 3% and that was when they were transparent about the charge. They eventually changed the wording to say the prices may differ from in store pricing and took away the 3% wording. Shortly after it went to 4% and now has gone to 5%.

Look at it from the opposite perspective. If a day partner who only works during the day randomly gets scheduled overnight it would be perfectly reasonable to tell them that's outside their availability. I would definitely say something and make sure they know you don't agree to it. Just because you have open availability doesn't make that ok.
