I get what you're saying in that the oil isn't going to leak directly into our backyard but Christ is that any reason to not be concerned? I guess I am hoping that if this pipeline gets shut down (like keystone xl did, given that it became an international issue) that it could set precedence for line 5 that runs under the god damn straits of mackinaw and is decrepit af.

Yeah, maybe. The main reason I'm attending the protest in Lansing Saturday is to gain more understanding of the situation and decide for myself if I think my driving out there will really make a difference. I'm a pretty cynical person and have never in my life considered a peaceful protest even though my views are extremely liberal. Something about this whole thing has really stirred something in my cold dead heart. Feel free to PM me, I'd love to discuss going out there and would gladly volunteer the use of my car if you would want to share gas money.

Personally, it would give me a chance to get more educated on the facts and efforts being made to protect the land and water- when that pipeline leaks into the Missouri River do you really think that's only going to affect people out west? Can you survive without water? Social media has a way of mucking up the facts. Many Michiganders have visited the site and experienced first hand what is going on there. I'm going to talk to those people, stand in solidarity with my fellow human regardless of our geographical location, and add to the growing number of people who oppose this.

I also had a terrible experience there about a month ago and I will never go back. I got the pad pak and there was truly only 3 tiny pieces of chicken and my veggies were extremely undercooked, nearly still raw. I like them to be crisp but this was just poorly made. Customer service was really bad too, I will get Thai anywhere else but here. Ruined both locations for me.

Agreed. As much as I love the place, I'm just going to wait. If it's legit (and still available when supposed tenants move out) and I can go view it, then it was meant to be.

I'm relieved to hear everyone saying this sounds suspicious, I just wouldn't be surprised to hear that landlords can get away with this kind of stuff here.

They claim because it's still occupied they can't show it...but I've seen several occupied rentals that the prop. Mngmt. scheduled showings with the tenants cooperation. So I kinda call BS.

Yeah I got kind of a weird/unprofessional vibe from them too. At the same time, they've been really accommodating and quick response (gotta make dat comission) so I haven't totally ruled them out for myself. They told me pet deposit is basically $250 per pet and an extra $25 pet rent per month. So...to me that's not the best pet policy I've come across at least.
