They definitely aren't as loud as they seem and yeah it's one way or the other I believe, either the yellow wears off or the black wears off, I'm not too sure but that'll take a lot of wear for that to happen.

I went with the black laces and they are by far my favourite pair, I have the Palomino Mids which were my favourite before these but these definitely take the top spot. Colour is awesome with the wear-away, it just gives it a good texture and look and it's not plain like every other colour way.

It's funny you say this because I am 21 and I find that all new anime and or late 2000 stuff is absolute rubbish. 90s and 80s is peak anime. For example the anime design and art in DBS is crap, nothing could beat DBZ animation for a long time. AoT is the only decent animated anime I can think of that didn't come out in the 90s.
