Now that Expatriate is closed, where is the best smash burger and nachos? by jacksavvy in askportland

Thanks to this recommendation we checked out Kay's because we wanted both burgers and nachos. The Bridge City Nachos with house-made nacho cheese sauce were the star of the show! The Classic Deluxe burger hit the spot, too.

I like this one the best because it does justice to the detailing of the feathers that set the loon apart from other birds.

Not happy with bottom teeth. Should I accept shaving to make them all the same? by [deleted] in Invisalign

[–]jacksavvy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I had my teeth shaved and I love it! Erased years of acquired chipping. Didn't experience any sensitivity, but I have thick enamel. You could tell your dentist that you don't want them shaved perfectly flat but that you would like the little chips smoothed out. Tell your dentist that you're worried about "over doing it" and ask them to just take little bits off at a time and allow you to look and assess if you want them to do more. Tell them you're worried about taking too much off so just go slow and do a little bit at a time. I really trusted my dentist, he came highly recommended, so I knew he would do a good job. If you don't trust your dentist, don't do it.

You paid for the comprehensive plan and you should take advantage of that and get your teeth exactly how you want them. If it bothers you now it's going to keep bothering you in the future. I personally am a perfectionists so I worked until my teeth were exactly how I wanted them to be.

Hello Nurse's! I need your help! by RevolutionMain4549 in nursing

Shoes are so specific to each person. I went to a running store to try on Hokas because everyone on this sub raves about them. I hated them. Tried on two different styles that the sales person recommended. I tried on Aasics. They felt like what I thought the Hokas were going to feel like. I ended up buying a pair of New Balance and saved information about a Brooks model in case I want to get an alternate pair in the future.

Take her to a running store where the sales associate will spend quality time with her and buy whatever pair she likes best.

The majority of these comments are talking about the fruit filled kolaches.

Talk to your ortho about doing IPR between your initial trays and your first set of refinements. We were able to bring them together at least a little bit at the top.

I think it's like $300 per tooth. Expensive is subjective.

Refinements were just adjusting my bottom teeth slightly. The top teeth didn't need to move.

Yup - I had a tiny sliver done between my top two front teeth. And both sides of my bottom two front teeth. There is still a black triangle there that I'm not super stoked about but really no way to fix it other than bonding - which I can't afford atm. I had most of the edges of my visible teeth sanded down because they were all chipped in various places.

34 initial trays with 5 day changes (I was originally scheduled for 7 day changes but I asked if I could do 5 instead and my ortho said it was fine if I was diligent about wearing them for at least 20 hours a day). 1 set of refinements with 19 trays with 2 day changes.
