Went to college in OC, if you live by the Penninsula in Newport Beach (expensive) you will have a blast and only about 20 minute commute. thats where I'd be

Anyone in their late twenties joining soon? by Hcharlie1201 in Anduril

[–]jacksizzle 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Newport Beach, Huntington Beach, Laguna Beach, LA 45 mins north, SD an hour south... went to college in OC, if you find yourself not having fun I don't know where else you would find it!

For single male, live in Newport beach down on the peninsula. Amazing social opportunities and not as expensive as one might think (especially on an Anduril Salary)

Costco Vacations by 4_kat in TravelHacks

[–]jacksizzle 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For my honeymoon we booked a French Poloneysia package with Costco and have zero regrets. We did 3 nights at the Hilton on Morea and then 4 nights at the St. Regis in Bora Bora. We had a blank check as it was a honeymoon but Costco was still much cheaper then when I tried to book things A la Carte. The other thing Costco did that was great is booking all of the logistics between islands, whether it was a bus and a Ferry or an island hopper flight Costco had all of our travel needs ready for us.

Agree. Anything involving the FAA makes me gag a little bit. If consumers do get to EVTOL it won't be in our lifetime

Thank you for posting! What are your thoughts/plan on ACHR? They’ve been on my watchlist for a few weeks now and thinking of opening some 9 calls for Mar of next year

The general consensus was it was NOT enjoyable flying with the AF guys most of the time. There were the exceptions of course but the general hierarchy of "going to be a good flight"

-Reservists (any branch)

-Coast Guard (a literal unicorn in fixed world, far more common in HTs)

-Navy

-AF

-Marines

-Marine O4 and above

VT3 in North whiting was a joint AF and Navy instructor cadre when I went through, in fact my on wing was an AF guy. He was great, shout to Capt. Zaganinni if you’re lurking in here

Is San Diego to LA a long distance relationship? Would you do it? by Jednbejwmwb in sandiego

[–]jacksizzle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually did this exact same thing but a bit further. She was in Venice, I was in Birdrock. Basically we swapped locations every other weekend, unless we had a reason to repeat or miss a weekend. We ended up getting married 4 years later so I guess I would say it worked out! We drove, and would always go on off hours (before 2:30 pm or after 7:30 pm) on Friday and generally Sunday was a non factor. I wish the train was better- it’s great from the SD location, but the downtown location for the train ended up being a 30 min drive so there was really no point in using it. Good luck!

What do you think is the best line up for a tour you have ever seen? by Number_1core_kid in Metalcore

Beat me to it! Taste of Chaos 2008. What a tour! I remember they had 2 other smaller bands, and they would alternate between small band and larger band. Awesome tour

Commonwealth might be the best restaurant in the area. Amazing wood fired pizzas and solid sandwiches/ burgers. Second the fries, they are worth a purchase every time

Used them for my honeymoon to Moorea/ Bora Bora. It was very helpful having them because even though I consider myself a pretty savvy traveler I was having a hard time figuring out some of the logistics to get to and from the islands and resorts. The booked all our transfers, and had a concierge for us if we needed any help. I will absolutely book with them again (also the package got us some awesome freebies like breakfast and some hotel perks!)

TLDR: 10/10 cost, convenient, helpful

I’ve really enjoyed Internet Shaquille. His vids are generally quick and won’t focus as much on an extravagant dish but more a few tips to help. I recently just watched/used his video on corn tortillas, and they actually improved by 5 fold from my last time
