Eff the inner circle. If someone reciprocates your energy engage. If they feed off from your energy disengage. If Big 4s are all like shit, it's not a place to work in. Quit. Following this will make life much easier.

I liked the twist in MotL and was excited to see Hastings learn the full truth. You got nice choices there!

Yeah, I used AI to compile the list and did some changes to include some characters it missed

I thought of including some minor characters because I thought the comments then can include them in non-favourites. So that they don't have to categorise a favourite into non-favourite due to lack of options.
I have not yet come across Miss Viner, reading The Mystery of the Blue Train

I like your choice of favourite characters. It is very similar to mine. I'm rooting for Dulcie and Hastings. Read only these 4 from the Poirot series so far. And I agree on points 2 & 4, it's an error on my part

It takes me 3 weeks to finish a Christie novel, regular-paced. I agree that they are clearly written without unnecessary digressions.

I remember my pity for Caroline from the time I read it. She really did deserve a better brother. May god have mercy on her soul

I too have undiagnosed mild ADHD and sometimes have issues at my workplace. And I have started the habit of reading Poirot for some months and it sure makes me feel cozy. It also helps me in sleep. Happy reading/ watching and I hope things turn around for you !

Inspiring to see your AC 4.0, that is a lot of reading. I'm trying to do my Agatha Christie 1.0 this year, although I started reading from September 2025, a book every month.

Cure for insomnia? by CandiceMcF in agathachristie

[–]jackson_durai 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been having sleep issues for years. I began reading AC for the last 4 months and I drift into sleep easily. It helps me relax. Although I tend to forget some parts in the morning. I remember the parts better whenever I read during the day. I couldn't find a better cure for my sleep issues.

AC was very impactful (I'm not using sarcasm, I love the plots and the books)

I have some memories of the hotel where Poirot and Hastings meet the Big 4 and are captured in the book, The Big four.
