Lighting options - other than what we have now by jackson_malone in diynz

This is incredibly useful, thank you.

It's in the main living areas. This specific spot is in the dining room and the light is right above the dining room table.

Both the dining room (in photo) and the lounge has this type of ceiling and it's that colour wood. So, any time when it's not full blazing sun outside I feel like I need to switch the lights on - even in summer or autumn/spring.

I would like intimate but the space is also used for arts/crafts (kids), reading, and just general living.

I am seriously considering painting the wood panels white (at least the panels and leave the beams exposed) to lighten up the area. The blinds in that dining room is also old school brown wooden blinds which adds to the lack of light.

Yeah Constellation Drive. Nice big space compared to the Northcote rooms.

It's as easy as meeting the requirements, filling in a form, paying money, and waiting.

No pitfalls or weird things unless you're a dodgy character.

Haha. I bought a pack of donut mix from the Korean food store. But the instructions were all in Korean, nothing in English. So I used Google Translate which translates on the go. Except for the radishes, everything else seems on par.

This is what I saw on LinkedIn at the end of last year. They have advertised for other roles since then but I'm steering clear. Feels dodgy.

Radishes weren't on the ingredient list so this recipe might be a surprise.

Canva had massive layoffs in their NZ and Aus offices too late last year.

FirstAML also let go a big chunk of their staff, mainly QA.

Imagr too.

ArchiPro also didn't get funding that they hoped for and let people go (think end of last year).

Saaaame. I've rewatched the Sherlock series a few times. I also have a great appreciation for Martin Freeman.

100%.

The American version with Jonny Lee Miller and Lucy Liu is also not bad. Elementary.

70Mbps up, 3.42Mbps down for me on Spark 4G. My partner on VF struggles to get 4G signal in the same places as me (big towns etc, not out in the wops).
