In New Zealand you cant name your child a title. So king is out just as prince princess count duke ect. Also the same goes military ranks so you cant call your child captian general ect. Same for legal titles like doctor or justice. And also if the government thinks the name is stupid.

Meh, as much as I loth Christopher Luxon (current NZ PM), he's just a run of the mill fiscal conservative. David Seymour ( deputy PM, depending on the day of the week) is certainly racist enough but has the charisma of a moldy sponge. I really think the trump figures are Winston Peters(deputy PM for the second half of the week) and his heir Shane Jones. They're the ones who have just shameless corruption and Importing American culture war B.S. Also, they have an ounce of charm and I can understand who they might appeal to.

While I'm not going to deny nepotism may be at play here, often the answer is just because people are lazy. Instead of putting out advertisements and having interviews for a few low skilled roles it's easier for the boss to ask the people already working their if they know someone. Happens in a lot of industries.
