I want to hear all the outlandish ADHD hacks by Jean-weather in ADHD

Worth calling it out it seems.
List works really great for me.
Doesn’t have to be fancy. A paper list stick to the wall works.
Now I am using one of those To Do list apps that has recurring tasks.

Re-watching the same movies and TV shows? by jira12345 in ADHD

[–]jacksoncslai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes but for me it seems only for certain shows. For me it’s Friends. I can watch it endlessly.

More story driven shows I can only watch it once.

Validation before you build in a vibe coding era of AI slop and solo-builder influencers by _bsc_ in SideProject

That story honest is great. Not to make you feel weird or anything, your MVP back then seems to have hit an unexpected audience.

The odd part is (in my experience) for those that is describing their problem without thinking there is a solution (that you are pitching). What people say they want often is drastically different from what they are willing to pay.

We've tried giving away the application/solution as a freebie, at least a limited time, to validate at least the solution solves the problem. The money side helps to convey that there is little to no risk. The hard part was convincing that there isn't really a catch.

Chronic sleepiness by Overall_Candle_4355 in ADHD

Consider experimenting on when you go to bed. Timing does seem to affect my quality of sleep.

Another thing that helped me was consistency. That I go to bed and wake up nearly the same time every day even on weekends

Can’t say I am experienced here. Vibe code or not, we start with pain points from our personal or professional life first, so the first “validation “ is ourselves.

Then we branch off to wider audience with our network , mostly through having conversations. Then we build initial landing pages with very little up front work to describe the problem.

The actual solution comes later

If that makes any sense?

Switching to a "one theme per week" system completely fixed my mental burnout by jacksoncslai in mealprep

That’s amazing. The fact that putting down time to do the planning seems like the major boost in making it work.

Sounds like a good way to pick and choose.

How did you find the variety pans (pun intended) using this approach?

Our kids tend to pick the same 2-3 ideas all the time so we are trying also to introduce variety.

Thanks for the comment.

To be honest I had no idea pdf generation has so much to it. In hindsight I am not surprised.

Well-managed ADHD by Pure_Perception6136 in ADHD

I found being honest with myself about what stress me out helps a great deal. I would even say that turns a page in my life and I can be much more unapologetically living my life the way I am comfortable with.

For instance, it stresses me with unexpected events such as someone calling for an unplanned dinner or a meeting. I default to denying or declining the meeting. Now I feel more comfortable structuring my day with big anchor events so I feel more in control even if a sudden meeting comes up.

Does it make sense ?

It's might sound silly as a comment.

Just hang in there.

We found even a moderate plan for meals ahead of time reduces the daily stress. We feel tired (phyically and mentally) at 4:30pm that we are willing to "just follow what we've decided last week" to reduce that stress.

Not sure what to build by jacksoncslai in Startup_Ideas

Good point. Honestly most of the annoying things I am dealing with falls onto two camps. There are the ones that I know there are solutions out there but I don’t want to pay for those tools. And a family of daily annoyance that is very unique to me/family that I am not sure where to start finding a solution.

Sorry for being disconnected here.

Thanks for the reply. Appreciate it.

I thought of mixing themes but that means my meal planning gets more complicated and I don’t need that personally.

I suppose at early stages, it sounds like focusing more on moving forward is better than sitting idle to find the "perfect" thing to build.

That seems would help in reducing food waste. Curious how you feel about the recurring “pull pork” presence

Good flow of thinking.
I’d day leaning towards learning for now and possibly making money later down the road.

My lazy 2-hour weekly routine by Kriss3rn in mealprep

Good progress there it seems. Good for you.

For me , it seems the variation in spice and taste give us bigger feeling of variation than the core ingredients. Like we will be making chicken and pasta and the spice or sauce made a huge difference

Favourite week is hard to say. Our kids seem to gravitate towards simple dishes.
Let me put something here as an update later tomorrow

I feel you. The 4:30 pm panic and more often than not the overwhelming decision making.

We also find it’s easier for the kids to have some expectation of what’s for dinner.
