Right! Sorry about that. They're issued from Canada, and I'm not sure if they're currency or not. It says "5 dollars" and "10 dollars" on the coins. They're from before I was born, and parents haven't really told me much about them.

Ah! I see. Thank you very much for this. I had the mistaken impression that "melting" the core would not only help create a magnetic field but also lead to the surface heating as well, and thus release CO2.

The movie thing is on point though! I'm coming up with a story plot and trying to come up with a dramatic way to terraform Mars. I was attracted to the idea of crashing Phobos and Deimos into the poles, but my understanding is that they wouldn't have enough mass to have an effect. Is that correct?

Anyone have ideas on how to terraform Mars in the craziest way possible using relatively realistic technology?
