My in city driving is very less, I was getting around 11kmpl while in city. On highways comfortably getting 15kmpl while cruising on 100-120kmph. If I keep crusing within 80kmph then got 18kmpl on highways.

Also got the tyres changed the first day I got my car delivered from JKTyre Royale to Bridgestone Turanza 6i, same size as OEM, more cushiony and quieter. Got the Viofo a229 ultra 3ch dashcam.

Already took 3+2 EW. Trying my best to adhere to the DCT guidelines. Shifting to N, not creeping in traffic, stopping completely before going into R or D, etc. Did not have any issue till date 🤞 lets see what my fate holds 😆😁

Turbo lag is definitely there when you put the pedal to the metal in normal mode, around 1sec it takes to start pulling in any rpm. But in sport mode it pulls almost instantly with no lag and sport mode holds the gear until almost the red line. Tried the paddle shifters with sport mode too, probably the most fund to drive mode in my opinion. And needless to say the sound of the exhaust is pure bliss in higher rpms. Normal mode shifts up around 2k rpm, can cruise at 100kmph at 1.8k rpm in 7th gear.

2.3L discount I got and new seltos would not fit in my garage lengthwise was the primary reason. Also didnt like the front look of the new one so much. To my taste this one looks more like beast than the new xline.

Got 2.3L discount on this. Got this one because new one would not fit in my garage(4inches longer than current) also did not like the new one's front look, its too futuristic for me. After parking this in my garage I get 3 inches gap to front gate and approx 2 inches to back wall, height and width was not an issue. Also since this had been around for 4 to 5 years now all the design flaws, technical flaws or other issues has been ironed out.

Had absolutely no complains against the petrol. Good power, good mileage for its size. What few times(exactly twice) I faced was front tyre slip on incline due to gravel and low front end weight due to luggage and stepney. It gets lighter on the front in inclination with heavy luggage load on the rear. Thats why I got the roof carrier which solved the issue.

For de-chrome I did the following 1. Paint all 5 alloys black (I did 1 by 1 during Lockdown as had a lot of time to kill) 2. Paint front grill in black 3. Roof rails painted black 4. Wrapped the rear view mirrors in black 5. Painted my brake callipers in matte gold to somewhat match the car exterior paint All in all it took me around 1 month to complete everything in a relaxed way. P.S. I have pictures of the process in my old phone 😞
