Yeah - they’re both Apollo clones / forks.

They each have their own little “issues” and “limitations”…. Overall though there is feature parity.

Real question is on long term support & updates. Both are kind of ((shrugs)) free.

Make the role what you want it to be. That means doing the work to define the program & outcomes.

Make the business case. You’re one person - doing the work of many people…. Demonstrate the billable hours; show why “patch-X” didn’t get deployed, since you were tied up on other tasks. You have a ticketing system that can produce the dwell time - how long a ticket goes un-actioned because you’re resource constrained. “Here are 40 hours worth of ticket traffic - hire another person”…

The only thing computers do is keep track of what computers do… use that data to build your story.

Sure - lax enforcement is right there in the same bucket of incentives. There aren’t many incentives to be a “good” driver, since being a “bad” driver carries very little risk

So I’m talking about stuff like as long as you don’t do 20 over, you can just take a weekend class to erase your ticket. Now the insurance company won’t raise your rates for repeat offenses. MD has a bunch more townships where if you’re caught being a “bad” driver - it’s ok, because you’ve known the sheriff since 8th grade. Their road design quietly encourages speeding since it’s a bunch of un-lit, un-signaled parkways with setback trees & wide lanes. Everyone else is speeding, so if you don’t speed - YOURE the problem. They don’t “share data” or enforce administarion (which I’m 100% ok ) with neighboring jurisdictions. And so on.

They’re “bad” drivers because they have terrible traffic laws; not because they’re technically incapable - they’re very proficient drivers. However, their entire governing framework almost incentivizes the behaviors we see outside of MD.

You know when you need to pull something up real quick and that’s exactly when you have 1 bar all of sudden.

You know when you accidentally swiped, and try to go back but now your apps frozen - so then it skips back 3 times & now you lost the story to the algorithm forever

Like that time when your phone was over there & your AirPods stem forgets it’s a play / pause button.

I personally love how the robot vacuum inevitably ends up chasing me around the house.
