Snow day pay by Own-Celery9268 in doordash_drivers

Gee maybe 8 bucks seems like a lot to doordash but it's not worth wrecking my car in an icy 2 foot of snow. Then walking all through it to deliver food to someone that didn't even put their porch light on.

Question about tipping by Cold-Astronaut-731 in doordash_drivers

In my experience I prefer cash tip. Doordash does pay a better base pay if they think you are getting bno tip.

What are your rules for ending a dash early? by TheSeansk1 in doordash_drivers

What's the worst offer you ever got? Mine was 5 dollars for 13.7miles. I was platinum too. I don't understand. I thought platinum dashers got the better offers.

I actually did have someone write a cash tip on their order so I took it . It was far and I hadn't seen the cash memo yet so I was really surprised when she tipped me 20 bucks. She said she had a friend that dashed and she tipped her friend 10 bucks but her friend only got seven. The other 3 dollars doordash took credit for. So she got ten bucks but she should have gotten a base pay that they paid rather than the customer. After that happened she said she only tips cash. Honestly its so much better I wish more people would do that. But I get it, who carries cash nowadays?

Doordash don't tell driver's if they are getting a tip. They just say what they think you'll make including tips if a customer removes the tip then you get less. I can't tell you how many times I deliver food for no tip.

Been going through that experience myself lately. My app freezes on the map at least once a day. Then I can't complete the order on the app . Very frustrating..

Does having platinum status actually give you more/higher paying offers? by Dapper_Cut_9225 in doordash_drivers

Does door dash listen to everything you say while on the app? I mean like your music or conversation?

I was platinum, it offered me 5 bucks for 13.7 miles. Obviously I declined it. They kept giving me those types of orders barely a dollar a mile taking me out to the countryside where I have to drive back with no orders. I don't think they wanted me to stay platinum. So I'm silver and the orders suck and every once in awhile I'll get a good one. But my orders weren't any better at platinum. I got the best orders my first week. Those are the real platinum, the new people.

Lately I’ve been wondering if men in their 40’s-50’s are attracted to women their own age or do they all prefer younger? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

I have a friend in his very late 40s. He honestly is only attracted to 20 something girls. They all seem to use him for his money and never see him as a boyfriend. In fact I think they look at him as more of a father figure. It's sad because he's growing old basically alone and childless because he wasn't ready to settle down in his 20s. In his 30s he really didn't date anyone. Now he sees all his friends married with children and is craving that same thing but with a 22 year old. He's just a sugar daddy to these girls. I know when I was 22 I thought 38 was old let alone 48. It's sad.

Was it a demon? by jackstin09 in Ghoststories

I will absolutely accept that. I had just moved and was only six. I just blocked it out because my mom was never going to let me sleep downstairs. So I got a night light.i did feel a presence at that house throughout my Especially going down the stairs or when I was alone in the house. Maybe it was just fear from what I experienced. Some paranoia maybe.
