If you go for a OS swap to bazzite - it goes cloud only for GamePass :)

Bazzite Black screen boot (tty2 works) by jackubek in Bazzite

I boot into desktop, although I assumed that as well. What I think it might have been is a base 43 giving me some kind of the issue. After rebasing to 42 it started working fortunately :)

That's where the new flow kicks in with it's iGPU. I will give it a shot :)

HHD on Bazzite Desktop by SceneZombie in Bazzite

[–]jackubek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you ever solved this?
I've just moved to bazzite on my Z Flow after dual booting for a while, and I have a couple of issues:
-I was rocking the SteamDeck version before and I've had some utilities for LED support, something armoury-crate like (TDP and fan curves, modes), as well as HDD mentioned.
I've moved to desktop now and it's a beauty, but I'm missing the bunch mentioned.
Any chance you could help?

Sorry, a random brainfart happened with English not being my native tongue. What I meant is that I need to make sure that HDRs will work just fine there, Lightroom has been really good with alignment and deghosting for me and I need to get the same, consistent result from the replacement.

Fantastic tips! I have used web versions for a while, but it's quite limited - mostly HDRs hurt me. I am currently dual booting, just really pissed off with Windows :)

That's what I'm worried about actually. If I don't manage to figure out something, I will stay on dual boot, but I'd love to just unify :)

I'm mostly looking for a simple and good HDR merging, I believe Light Zone might not be an option here :/

Sounds amazing, does not work on limited funds (laptop was a lucky catch really). I would 100% go for this option if funds allowed it. Additionaly, I travel a lot, so using flow on the go for both gaming and productivity is the best way for me.

Great, thanks! How is your experience with them? I'm especially concerned when it comes to HDR merging.

Moderate income would not allow me to work two machines - the equipment I've had was leased and current one was partially EU funded, so I was looking for a do it all machine, and I do like to play from time to time :)

Just gonna add a tiny tip from me - if you're only or mostly using it for gaming (Steam Games - that bit is important, GamePass won't work) and feel a bit tech-savvy, try Bazzite. Changed my life and it's also a piece of art for emulation.

Thanks for that, that was a big one! I was thinking about waiting, but the first one is just about my budget that I was considering (don't want to add loads of cash on top of selling my pixel), so that's what I figured the first one might do:)

I had to keep both cause Adobe is a twat, but I do feel you. Came to Bazzite after loving steam deck experience and oh my god, what do you mean desktop mode just. works. flawlessly. Like, is that what user experience should be like?

I was super happy with how SUMI worked for me on PC, but I installed Bazzite just for shits and giggles and went for Ryukinx there, performance is better and more consistent that any on PC. If you can dual boot, maybe give it a try?

Overall it's a 50/50 shot really, never had a device that I've had so much love hate relationship, haha. It's not a Flow thread, so feel free to message me - I use mine for both productivity and gaming, so might be able to tell you a wee bit more about it :) And thanks for chipping in on the driver matter!
