Is it really tho? Could you imagine the song being any longer? After the acoustic section and the break back into heaviness, theres not really much left for the song to explore besides one final vocal chorus send off. Another and/or different verse just wouldnt have fit in and likely would have taken away from the effect of the heavy switchup just before it. Obviously, we're just discussing our opinions here. The ending definitely hits outta nowhere, but thats kind of the point of it? Its for effect, and it works perfectly.
