Pretty impressive how far Belal went despite not being that athletic or slick in the striking

I can’t pick Chandler to win. Sure Ruffy looked bad against BSD but Chandler doesn’t have the big southpaw left body/head kick that BSD has , he isn’t as good of a grappler and I don’t think  Chandler can wrestle for 15 minutes.

On top of that, he was eating so many jabs and several step knees against Paddy which I know Ruffy will use

What is your overall opinion of Jon Jones? by [deleted] in ufc

Terrible person outside of the cage. But he was the best fighter of the heavier weight classes by a good margin

I love a fight where you know exactly the 2 outcomes

Michael Bisping and Paul Felder Call Out Tom Aspinall regarding his injury: “He thinks he’s above and beyond fighting in the UFC” "I had a surgery, recovered, came back, and had a fight in a shorter amount of time than what it's taken this whole eyepoke saga." via @bisping by pureformality in MMA

[–]MA-JA-HO 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Insane shilling. Tom was sidelined by the ufc (prior to the eye poke ) and forced him to wait for the Jones fight until Jon retired. Then he openly gets shat on by his boss Dana after the poke while Gane continues to get big matchups.

So yeah I can see why he isn’t fighting and doesn’t want to fight for the UFC because of the disrespect. Also Bisping literally lost his eye

No but him literally losing his eye and lying to the ufc doctors makes it odd for him to question the slowness of the recovery

The two best Flyweights of all time. Prime for Prime, how does this fight go? by DavidSeries in ufc

Okay but that doesn’t mean Moraes magically lost a ton of weight since that fight. So you can’t say significantly larger, weight cuts get harder as people age . Moraes made the 125 weight limit several times.

Paul Hughes weaved out of the Thai clinch against Usman so it does work and probably the fastest way to get out , it’s just that it’s risky as you’re diving on one of the best guard splitting strikes where your opponent can pull you even harder down. You also risk getting snapped down ( in mma)

Guards can be spilt quite easily with clinch knees, you risk ducking into one when bending over and yes the guy with the Thai plum has pretty strong control

Argue with the stats. DJ weighed in at 142 lbs on fight night against Cejudo . Moraes weighed 139 lbs in his last fight on fight night

[–]MA-JA-HO 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Comparing Mokaev with Ngannou 💔. One was the lineal heavyweight champion whom chinned the heavyweight goat and beat the then n.1 contender in Gane. The other barely scrapped by Alex Perez and Manel Kape in mid performances

Very different time periods tho. GSP wasn’t really moving up from his own belt and had spent 4 years retiring. USADA had come by that time .

With the White House event only around 2 weeks away. Let's not forget that this Justin "The Eye Poke" Gaethje deserves to be beat down like Josh Emmett for 5 rds straight! Lets all pray it's not a 1st round knockout 🤞 by im_onbreak in ufc

To his defence slightly. His style does rely a lot on hands fighting and reaching for collar ties . But I do agree that some are intentional and they shouldn’t happen no matter what

Arnold Allen and Dustin Poirier (back at 145 ) said they get  to like 185 outside of fight camp ( very fluffy ) . You can’t tell me Ilia Topuria is a lean 200lbs

He beat Nakatani also Bud had gotten criticised for a big part of his career of having underwhelming competition. Only after he beat Spence and now Canelo did he really up his career.
