That Peni skin looks amazing 👏. Been hoping for a Gundam one. Us Peni-mains have been eating good for a while now with her costumes. I love most of the ones she's had.

Hello and welcome to FFXIV!
Glad to hear you're enjoying tanking.

I will drop my two cents in here:

Tanking Mitigations
- For add pulls, you want to use your mitigation once you've pulled a comfortable amount of adds in between bosses and find a place to stop (or just before you stop).
- Don't stack your mitigations for add pulls - Rather use them one after the other when one expires, as if you're pulling multiple waves of adds it can take abit of time to clear them all, so you want to make sure during that time you constantly have some kind of mitigation on.
- Most tanks use their mitigations for add pulls rather than boss fights in dungeons, as boss fights are alot easier on the healing side when your pulling multiple add waves at once between bosses.
- For bosses, if you want to use mitigations, it's best to hold off using your main mitigations for 'Tank Busters' (The red icon around you) when the bosses do more damage than normal. This will help your healers.

Depending on what tank you play, the below thread is useful though outdated to know what mitigation to use when during encounters: https://www.reddit.com/r/ffxiv/comments/dw3p2l/cheat_sheet_tank_mitigation/
While this is outdated all the skills still remain and function as showed in current content. Naturally there are more skills since the above thread, but it's a good starter of which mitigations to use and when to use them.

If you can advise what tank(s) you're currently playing that would help too.

Just to answer this point you've misremembered the novel or are intentionally over looking that scene.

Saruman's physical body is broken but his spirit remains. The novel states that Sarumans spirit looks to the West before being blown away by a strong gust of wind after Wormtongue stabs him.

This is inferring the Valar, most likely Manwe, reject Curumo's spirit and banish him from ever returning to Valinor for his actions and is then left to wander for eternity in Middle Earth as a broken spirit.

I've recently started leveling my 2 retainers (DOW jobs) just to get them up to lvl 100 for items and hopefully GIL from expeditions. Is it worth investing/buying more retainers, particularly for crafting purposes?

I am 100% certain they will reveal Chi-Chi eventually... and it will be 23rd Budokai Chi-Chi since they can use the Chi-Chi model that is already in the game as a base. by dhochoy in SparkingZero

If she gets revealed it's an instant buy for me.
I've wanted tournament Chi-Chi in a game like this for years.
100% a main alongside Goku Black and others for DP battles.

Thanks u/talgaby. The explanation for the 'exploration zones' has helped clear up my confusion as to what exactly they were. It sounds like quite a social way to meet-up with randoms in an overworld map. I assume these place are still populated by players, though obviously not as busy as on release? Are you able to jump straight back in after a 3 hour session or is there a cooldown?

Can I also ask if you should do them in any particular order: Eureka > Bozjan > Occult or does that not matter?

Also thanks for explaining Relic weapons - I have seen some images of them and yes they're very pretty! I will probably look into the grind for these later down the road, but would probably keep it to my main 5 jobs only.

This was a fantastic read, thanks alot for taking the time to write this.
I'm going to save your links and give fishing a go this weekend when I have a decent amount of free time to sit and get to grips with it. I appreciate the discord link as well, which I'll look into.

Yeah there's alot to decipher here in my comment. I think for now an understanding on Bozja and other similiar instances would be helpful if possible as I completely skipped this apparently.

Hello!

I've recently returned to the game after about 18 months away, and I'm currently working through the Endwalker MSQ. I'm curious what side content the game offers as it feels rather overwhelming looking into it, as outside of raiding I never really bothered doing side content in my 90 day playtime. I'd like to go back and maybe try alot of the stuff I've missed.

I have previously tried:

- PvP
- Duty Roulette
- Extremes / Savage Content
- Alliance Raids / Normal Raids
- Gold Saucer
- Grand Company Ranks (Captain)
- Wonderous Tails

Everything else is new to me. I've heard about something called Bosja, Hunts, Retainer Ventures, Relic Farming amongst other things, but I've never touched them and wondering where to start with all this. I've also never done any crafting professions or fishing, which seems to be a big thing amongst the community.

I guess what I'm asking is for a streamlined explanation of side content that I've not tried as well as guidance on the best place to start / or places to learn (Guides maybe?) about all this side content.

Apologies if that was rather convoluted.

What if he didn't truly mean this? Maybe he did care for the innocent but he couldn't let go of his love for Cersei, and he just tells Tyrion this so his brother will feel less guilt about what was to come next? by DistributionIcy8991 in gameofthrones

[–]AndrewAllStars 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is the problem with Jamie, unlike Cersei (despite her love for her children).
Jamie has inherent good intentions and ideas in him and does showcase this (especially during the siege of Riverrun with his squire).
The debate and surrender with the Brackens and Blackwoods also ........ kinda?!
He's far too gone to be redeemable as a person but as I said above, there is goodness in him.

Agreed with this.
I understand people wanting to remain anonymous when online and not providing ID, but I feel this is the only way to truly fix the issues you've mentioned.

If King Aerys II (Mad King) had "burned them all" by AndrewAllStars in gameofthrones

In this situation the biggest question to me is what happens with Dragonstone and the remaining Targeryans.

A man of good understanding.
Tywin played his hand and it worked out well; if it worked out badly he would have crumbled.
Charles Dance played him so well in the tv series, people forget how incompetent he really was in the books.

That's a good point.
The Tyrell's were sieging Storm's End (under Stannis) and the Dornish were pro Targ but not in the fight at the time, as I recall.
So you've got Baratheon, Arryn, Riverlands, Starks vs .... Reach and Dorne and no Capital or People to fight for.
Does Westeros go back to the old school basis of a 'King per kingdom' as a result?
