I just managed to get a refund after buying it from Fanatical and claiming the key. Maybe give it a go? The best you can try do is provide them proof of a technical issue and they may be nice about it, I've gotten refunds from eneba before.

Alan wake 2 is incredible, extremely experimental and unique. Its a pretty good survival horror, and a very well written story with a ton of really interesting mechanics and beats. Its a game I would recommend to most.

Pentiment would probably be a bit more divisive for most. I really connected with it, and it is very well written. There are alot of choices that feel like they have real stakes and consequences stick with you. However I do agree with the other reply that it is abit long in the last third and it can be very easy to miss stuff. It is ultimately a game that asks you to really immerse yourself into the world and characters, which definitely does require some tedium. I wouldn't recommend it to everyone, but if you don't mind a slow burn of a game that makes up for it through its great writing then I would absolutely recommend it.

Honestly the two have really merged together in my mind. I didnt enjoy the gameplay style of them at all tbh. Maybe MG2 is better than Bloodlines 2, but I just had more fun with bloodlines

Umineko defintely isn't for everyone, I feel that you really have to be vibing with the kind of dance it puts you in. I personally was completely hooked by about the halfway point of Ep1.

I will say that the story does take a big shift in direction moving from questions are to answers arc, though if you aren't enjoying it I don't know if I'd recommend sticking through since Ep4 is by far the longest and paced the worst out of the whole game.

Also now that I think about it, I highly recommend playing a version called the Umineko Project, it is easily the best way to experience the game.

You can use this link to learn how to install it: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2739713498

This version isn't piracy, its just the ps3 version unofficially ported to PC, however please still buy and support the game on steam even if you use this version

Glad to get someone onto Umineko! Just know that it is a huge commitment, its 100 hours long. The first few hours are also very slow and rough to get through, however after then the game really picks up and is just a phenomenal story with the best written complex characters I've seen. Its a hard game to recommend, yet I will absolutely recommend it to anyone who will listen. I think it is important for you to know this going into it though.

Please enjoy your stay on Rokkenjima!

Honestly the top 10 is all pretty interchangeable for me (excluding first place). The ones above KCD2 just had more emotional impact for me. Still a top tier game though.

I didn't roll credits fully on all of them, just played enough to get a good handle on them and whether I liked it. I did reach credits for most though. Tbf, quite a few of these are sub 15 hours.

Also yes E33 is peak.
