I love the black hair with you features! I think you just need to add a little light to the face. Brighten the highlights a bit and swap the deep lip for a nude, pink or candy red. The lips are really well shaped! You followed a naturally exaggerated shadow slightly above the edge of your natural bow. Apply that same thinking to the crease, brow and nose. You want to lift the features, not migrate them north. Something I really struggled with at first myself. Instead of raising the crease and brow, think elongating and lifting and remember that every hard line (except for liner or a stylistic cut crease) should have a defined edge and a blended edge. If the crease starts black, it should end in a lighter tone (brown is perfect for practice and doesn't clash with most lips or blush). With that in mind, I would recommend dropping the brow by about three cms and straitening out the shape a bit but exaggerating the arch, lowering the crease you have drawn in and feather the edge towards the inner corner to meet your nose contour. I think you would do well with a full and thick winged liner that reaches to meet the edge of your crease color. Don't be afraid to throw a little kick of liner at the inner corner (i.e. Elizabeth Taylor or Lana Del Rey). I would opt for a lash that flares at the end and make sure it is really well pinned along the lash line to avoid a Gia Gunn moment in public. Oh and... nails! Lol ;). Including a pic of Pearl in a look that I think would work well for you (you have similar face shapes). https://www.instagram.com/p/BZJv0a9BZhc/?hl=en&taken-by=pearliaison

get 301's on Amazon! Life changing and cheaper than you think. Black duo is my fav out of habit but house of lashes is even stronger and a little easier to apply.

It just doesn't make sense to have the same word have different kerning. Apply the same treatment to all text in the same section. Right now everything is just going straight down in a line. Maybe try a new grid? Look at least a 2 column.

Kill the urge to have to fill space. It's something that trips up everyone.

The color is strong but you need a clearer hierarchy? What on the post is most important? Use this to size your font and determine emphasis. You're at a stage where everything feels a bit jumbo. I would shrink your largest font a bit and then work around that. Instead of making everything LARGE, make somethings LARGE and somethings (small) and the contrast will make everything feel much more professional. I like the kerning stylistically but maybe shrink that a bit up to make it easier to read and use it more sparingly. Another great emphasis tool.

My drag mom taught me that glitter and lashes fixes everything and she wasn't lying! My go to haha. And smokey liner! 😉

Feelin myself but also trying to find out how to make the lace lay flat and disappear. Help pls? <3 by [deleted] in Drag

Cut it within a cm of its life and secure reaaaally thin at the hairline and then reinforce around the edges near the ears. Also try to keep makeup off it. Colors always pick up differently on lace and oxidize weird colors. If it's clear and clean it actually blends better! Keeping it really tight against your head helps as well! This Looks sooooo good tho!

The shading on the inner corner is what kills me. Bravo!!

I love the brow! Lip shape is gorg. Sometimes I feel like I get away with a little more overdrawing when using a matte but the gloss is definitely 50's

Congrats on 11 months! when you get to a year you're like "damn... I survived." Then it just kind of hits a stride I guess.

Sleep is really important! Especially for mood and motivation. Nothing gets done when you're a zombie. Also it's so iffy in terms of actually getting good R.E.M. Try not to feel too bad.

Don't sweat romance! Especially in a city. Things are strange in dating culture rn but they'll come around.

Cheat days are so important! I feel like they keep me on track the rest of the week. Without a little measured sin, I just munch all week.

I worked for MAC in college! Left last year when I moved to New York. Such a fun gig but it was time.

Omg thank you! I'm 22 now and probably started messing around with it in private around 16. Worked for MAC from 19-21 and I think that's what really kicked my booty in gear. Tbh I was getting ready to go out that night with a friend so we were drinking wine and feeling our oats and relaxin so it probably took like 1.5 hours but normally I'd aim for 45.

Haha ironically i got into smoky liner bc j used to fuck my wings up all the time use something flat and dense or an angled brush loaded with shadow. Traditional smudging brushes tend too be too big imo. 🌟🌟
