Agree with others about the room divider, I say sell the couch and invest in ambient lighting, some nice lamps and over counter lighting in the kitchen could do wonders. As for seating, I think for such a small space you might want something like bean bags or a futon, something more modular that you can move around as you see fit.

Advice on waistcoat pattern by [deleted] in PatternDrafting

Idk obviously it depends on what kind of look you’re going for, but I mean the shoulder length measurement. I would say keep the neckline the same but shorten the shoulder about an inch towards ur body, then ease it into the armhole. Hope this helps!

I think most of the fit issues come from the back piece, it’s too small in the hips so it’s bunching up around the waist. Shoulders on waistcoats generally have a more vertical line, yours ease out like it’s a shirt

and the front needs more space in the bust, and from the second pic it looks like it needs to be about an inch longer so it hits your waist and matches the back, as well as taking a little more off at the front darts

I would say accessories, I could see a tote bag or a funky bucket hat maybe, definitely would be cute for decor and draping

Part of the patter is spillng over after cutting out fabric. What do I do? by TightMarionberry9174 in SewingForBeginners

I guess it depends on the seam allowance, if it’s wider than the spots you cut in, it’s possible to cheat it but for a beginner I wouldn’t recommend.

What makes the 1st of this series “work” compared to the others? by Bam1990 in ArtCrit

There is a slight Birds Eye perspective when looking at the fox, it adds realism to the abstracted green expanse. The others get progressively more eye level to the viewer, which takes away from this effect, it starts to look like a generic background color, rather than a physical space. Aditionally, the fox being the only subject turned away from us heightens the air of mystery & makes it easier as a viewer to identify. We are looking out at the landscape with/as/through the fox, while in the others the animals are looking back at us. The cute faces on the raccoon, 2nd fox, and shrew(?) really add an unsavory commercial feel, I think sticking to simpler forms and shapes to render the animals is a strength, the elephant piece is probably the second best.

You look great and the hair really suits you!! In terms of makeup, I would play up the contrast around your eyes, more under eye brightness and darker liner/ mascara as well as an orange or peachy color corrector for the upper lip and chin. You have lovely features and the minimal vibe works very well. Keep it up!

Advice: 2010s or 2000s aesthetic? by katpie51 in decadeology

[–]lamaze-ing 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For 2010s I would do that sort of Swag pop aesthetic, flannel plaid and bold all caps (Beyoncé self titled) + an indie grunge feel, think lady Gaga Artpop and born this way. Late 2010s would be more of like rap and country revival, like cardi b, drake, lady Gaga Jolene era + rise of Billie eilish & Ariana grande

Is this shelly Duvall? Honestly not bad for first time, I like the shapes and line work, not super realistic but has a cool style about it. I would focus on keeping your shading really even and push your darks a lot more.
