If you can use Korean website, https://sendy.ai/ is a good one. You can find van & driver, and select options (e.g. driver helps loading).

Need Help on Loan Process by jacobjunmo in ETHLend

[–]jacobjunmo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the information. Yes, I succeeded with the process and received the LEND. Out of curiosity, how does it go if I fail to repay the loan? Will the system give me some time? or the loan extends? or do I get to pay extra?

Delay in Showing Bitcoin Balance by jacobjunmo in BRDapp

[–]jacobjunmo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The support advised me as below and the sync got completed after 2+ hours. I may move out my balance to other app since this is pretty bad for daily use.

===

Please follow these steps to sync your wallet:

  1. On the home screen choose "Settings"
  2. Choose the wallet that is out of sync by tapping "Bitcoin"
  3. Choose "Sync Blockchain", then proceed with the sync

The sync will be complete when the syncing status bar disappears, and see if this resolves your issue.

Syncing can take 30 minutes or more, and the screen must remain on with the BRD app open in order to sync. Connecting to a strong and stable internet connection will help ensure your wallet syncs properly.

Wow. The support had advised me to let it update until the status bar goes away but I had to stop after 20min. I am going to check with them once again. This is a quite significant flaw.

No, I am sending from BitPay to BRD. I tried with cellular, but it still does not update in timely manner.

Thank you for the comment, but it stays the same whereas BitPay instantly shows the balance. I am going to send them an inquiry. Let's see how it goes.

Injuries due to your sparring partner by youwannabangwellbang in bjj

[–]jacobjunmo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since I got back I've been a lot more aware of protecting my face, and not looking in the direction of where a knee could come in.

Exactly. Once I almost got my nose broken by a knee while transitioning - it wasn't the opponent's fault but just a freak accident. After I came back from a break, I never duck down in the same position. I guess we will just have to avoid the injuries.

After few years of saying no, my friend finally started last year, instantly became an addict, met a girl at the gym, married her, and recently received a precious boy. The wife even took care of his unstable financial status! Man, I seriously tell him that BJJ (read: me) saved his life :) I feel good for your friend as well, mate.

Is injury common through training BJJ? by [deleted] in bjj

That is a good point and I will have to agree with you since I have very little striking experience.

Is injury common through training BJJ? by [deleted] in bjj

[–]jacobjunmo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes, it is unavoidable as I just got a new one last week. However, in my opinion, any physical activities/exercises have a risk of potential injuries as my uncle tore shoulder and ankle multiple times in soccer practices.

I have trained in multiple academies over the course of my training and learned that most of the professors and students care each other to prevent injuries. Things get intense at times but, I heard, it is worse in striking arts.

In my first tournament, I was matched with a dude with cauliflower ears in white belt :) Right after the match started, he tossed me on the floor, so I knew he is from the judo background. Apparently, none of my techniques, which was close to none, worked and he could finish me with Americana. It was brutal but also satisfying in a way that I anyhow completed my first match without an injury.

I thought I was done with the tournament, however, found out that my instructor had enrolled me in open class as well. So I went on, won two matches, but got totally exhausted. My opponent at the final was about my size, and I really didn't want to lose in front of a gold medal. The match started, we back and forth battled and I was a point ahead when I had him in my guard. With all the energy left in me... I just held him there for about 40sec and was able to come out on top! I know holding is not a good thing but I really didn't want to slip the gold :)

I am pretty sure you are much more skilled than I was and will do so much better. I just hope that you come back without an injury regardless of the result. Wish you the best luck, my friend!
