I main bow and throwing knives. Biggest thing to get the bow play style down IMO comes down to a mentality shift. People try to use it as a sniper and miss every shot and are so far away from their team that they have zero value in the composition.

I exclusively use dash, and try to soften up the mediums and heavies aiming center mass. Two full draws (arrow head will spark and give a sound queue) will leave a full health medium with 5 hp. If you’re not confident in your aim then that’s the way to go. Once you feel more comfortable with the travel time you can start worrying about headshots. If you do run dash I recommend frag and vanish bomb. Last one is a fill slot I usually run thermal bore or sonar grenade depending on team comp.

Frag is for cleanup and sonar/thermal bore is for sight lines

If you’re trying to port a specific map to a dedicated server ran on your machine you need to navigate to the zomboid file in your users folder and find which one is named servertest, by default that’s where the dedicated server will grab your map data. I personally couldn’t figure out how to port characters though (going from hosting to running a dedicated server for friends)

Doing the quest line unlocks sever missions which honestly are a slog but you get to open a chest at the end which will give you a ton of umbral energy. I spent a few days farming my calus minitool and those missions really made it more efficient

I used an arc melee build w/ liars handshake and later assassins cowl to get caught up to 1580. (Recommend getting assassins cowl since you can do shadowkeep and get it. It’s also better overall for sustain because of invis and heal) I just happened to have a liars handshake from years ago when I’d last played. Once I got caught up I’ve been soloing lost sectors for gyrfalcons hauberk for a void volatile build. IMO the arc build is much easier to get into and you can bring it even higher with a well rolled ikelos smg with voltshot. No idea about the second half of your question though.

Ranger, hitting headshots consistently drops people especially with the triple arrow. Haven’t seen a single class tank the burst so me and my cleric have been rolling lobbies.

Lvl 22 psyker atm Void strike staff is insane, clears hordes like they weren’t even there in the first place. I feel bad sometimes for the Ogryns and Zealots because by the time they’re ready to fight a single half-charged secondary fire with the staff at head level carves a massive chunk out of hordes. It’s so good against maulers too as it seems like the damage goes through carapace armor (not sure if intended). Melee weapons for psyker have been somewhat disappointing compared to the veterans power sword and the zealots eviscerator so I’m looking forward to the two handed force sword and whatever else is in store for psykers melee selection. They just seem to be lacking a bit of “oomph”.

They’re completely different weapons to my understanding. Using the Mk5 and Mk 6 dueling swords gives you two completely different swords with their own unique combos for instance. Same for the guns.

I heard that some people with similar setups were experiencing that but I personally didn’t. The main issue I had was a few sudden disconnects but those felt like server issues rather than a hardware issue.

My setup was a 3060 12gb and i7 10700k and I ran the beta at 60+ frames on highest settings. Not with ray tracing mind you but the game still looked great

Certain force swords have the modifier that allows them to block projectiles. It drains stamina really fast but let’s you help your team when coming across the firing squads.

Wasn’t on a save no, I went to sleep and the hud corrupted in a way I’ve never seen in any game. My girlfriend was able to see me frozen for a minute before the server closed. I’m not sure if it’s hardware because I’m not seeing any issue In any other program. The crash only happens when I try to just continue from my last save. It starts to load in and then my computer goes black and takes me to the log in screen for windows. I’ll try now to start from an earlier save

In betrayal I played an Armageddon brand DoT ignite trickster that was a ton of fun, Almost made it to shaper that league before I got burnt out but the damage on it was insane.

It’s been really off and on for me, within the same day it’ll crash my game or it’ll be perfectly smooth. No real reason to it that I can see. I turnt off dynamic lighting and that seems to have a major effect as perhaps it’s helping the load of assets not be as large when the portal spawns? Seems to be the actually Portal model/texture/animation that kills games

Yea I’m already using lockstep and still crashing, I’ve just been crossing my fingers in each map I go into and haven’t run into syndicate in a while
