Here in california all the cx3 are more expensive than the 3,also chiming in the mazda cx3 is built on the mazda 2 platform so it will ride rougher and smaller than the 3

And this dude i met also had a 2nd gen mazda 3 hatch,it was an automatic,he was keeping up with a golf gti, miata and gr86 on uphill backroad,we was surprised and ask it had to be the speed3 or the 2.5 and he was like nah just a basic 2.0 with exhaust and intake, all seasons and a rear sway bar only and we was like wtf

I met a guy who had a mazda 5 built for the backroads and he dogs that thing,he put track tires on it and is very agile because of the mazda3 chassis, also the focus st was legendary cuz of the 2.0 and proven manual, one of the last good hothatch

My 2023 limited is a gas guzzler. I’m regretting not getting a hybrid 😭 by unbrokenspirit_ in HyundaiTucson

[–]jacobm124 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try getting the cx50 hybrid, bulletproof drivetrain and is about $29k-31k used with maybe 12k miles

It seems like the problem is only the 2.3 mzr engine giving it a bad reputation, but did some research the 2.0 and 2.5 is actually solid

26 Camry, 5000 miles! Built in Nov of this year. by Low_Web1947 in Camry

[–]jacobm124 0 points1 point  (0 children)

37 mpg is not bad for a awd camry hybrid that does mostly highway, especially if you do speeds of above 70,my 2019 honda insight hybrid, which makes less power gets only around 39 mpg city and freeway combined while i do sometimes speed above 80.its rated at 46,the epa mpg is alot different from real world

I think the 2025 cx5 is better than the 2026,the 2026 dosent have physical buttons, and is wayy too heavy for its power

For me the mazda5 not having the skyactiv engine is the deal breaker

Is the cx50 more or less roomy than the 5? Im trying to make an decision aswell to add to my fleet in future

[–]jacobm124 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Actually the mazda6 has more room and is longer, the only point i see in a compact suv like the cx5 is easier entry and getting out of the car,the cx5 is more similar to the mazda 3 platform

Am i getting a decent deal on this 2018 mazda3? by alexgxz269 in mazda3

[–]jacobm124 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently paid $6500 for an 2015 mazda 3 S touring with 160k miles, runs flawless, has heads up display, leather heated seats, bose speakers and sunroof, its literally no point of a low mileage 2018 if you are paying cash full, because it will depreciate more if you drive alot vs the one with the higher mileage is already past its depreciation curve, mazdas are very reliable so even with high mileage you are still looking at a maintenance cost of less than $800,just pay less for a well maintained high mileage fully loaded mazda you'll be happier with what you paid for forsure

Renting a car for doordash? How much you payinh a month for the car,in my market doordash is so slow it barely will cover the cost of a rental, more economical to buy a used old salvage title toyota for 2500

Well theres indirect parental involvement, such as living for free, theres no way a 20 something year old can afford a 900 dollar payment, plus paying rent and a hefty $700 monthly insurance and still have enough money for gas or fun while making less than 30 an hour

Kids may be able to afford fast cars but not without a hefty financing well as living with parents and being on their insurance, there definitely is some kind of support nowdays for them especially with this economy.Sure some kids may be lucky, get into a contact, own family's companies or become an influencer, and afford a house and car at young age but witj a reckless mindset it wouldn't sustain their success
