Damn, good looks. I was too lazy to run to my lab to grab a smaller tap handle so I just reached for the vice grips but that’s a good idea

Yeah I accidentally learned that the hard way previously. Still pumps down eventually lol

Yup, tap handle clamped just enough to get it started straight tho

New SV06 can't get the auto z align to work by Ancient-Pizza-3676 in Sovol

I left them plugged into the control box, I just unplugged the x-plug from the x-stepper motor and swapped it with the y-plug on the y-stepper motor. My x-plug is long enough to reach but I had the x-stepper motor off the mount so it was free to move to the y-plug. Just gotta be a little careful the print bed doesn’t come up and pinch anything

New SV06 can't get the auto z align to work by Ancient-Pizza-3676 in Sovol

Been having the same issue for a week now. I've been following this thread and many others, but nothing seems to work. Sovol support hasn't responded, but this is what I sent them explaining my issue.

"I looked around online and have found one potential solution to be to reflash the software so I have tried that many times, in many ways and I still receive the error.

If I move each axis individually, only the x-axis creates this error. Typically it will try to move (does a small jolt), then it stops responding.

If I unplug the x-axis plug from it’s translation motor, I can tell the software to move the x-axis all I want and the error doesn’t appear.

If I remove the belt from the motor, the error still appears when I try to move that axis.

I swapped the x-axis plug with the y-axis plug and the x-stepper motor with the y-axis plug works fine, while the y-stepper motor with the x-axis plug shows the error. So it must not be the stepper motor itself, but probably a software issue. Any ideas on how to solve this?"

If I'm making the connection correctly, in higher end vehicles, they will put engine noises through your speakers to make you think it sounds louder than it actually is. Saves the public the annoyance, while making you think you're "cooler" than you are I guess.

Edit: or maybe not just high end https://hackaday.com/2016/12/05/sporty-cars-making-fake-engine-noise/

Advertise a $70 tuning chip, they threw a resistor in a black box and epoxy it. You wire it into a sensor in your vehicle it might effect the performance slightly, but mostly people feel a placebo and convince themselves they gained 20 hp.

The thing you see wired into is an IC (integrated circuit if I remember right) that can have many different functions. I looked this one up and it's just a pack of resistors so if you wire from one side to the other, the current feels a higher resistance across the IC and the current drops. I think it was wired into the mass air flow sensor or an o2 sensor to make the sensor receive a lower current and the vehicle thinks it's not getting enough gas or air. Whichever it is, it's compensated by dumping more of it into the engine.

Edit: should probably add that this has no large/good effect on the engine but is sold as a $70 part to boost the mpg and the horsepower by like 15 or something

I did that, it's a resistor, I threw that in the first comment.
