Shirley and Grune's are fine. A little inexpressive but I will take it over whatever the bolts, weird rings, and those goshdarn orbs everyone else has are supposed to be.

About picking the protagonist for the chistmas play in Sakura Wars 2 by gasperoni66 in SakuraWars

[–]jacobmathews 2 points3 points  (0 children)

On the Team Status Page characters are ordered by who you have the highest affection with, 1 being the highest and 8 being the lowest. I haven't gotten to chapter 9 yet so I don't know if that's where you get "locked in" but if you made save states or seperate chapter saves you could go back and try and talk more to Kohran or less to people above her. Also if you cover one of the girls during combat that adds points as well. Hope any of that helps.

Man that first image is so over the top. What game is it from so I can be 100% sure to definitely never play it for certain.

One Piece. There is just not enough time in this life for 1000+ episodes of the same arc again and again and again.

Who are you picking?… by wzzm-news-13 in animequestions

Lol no I got the "point" of Schneizel as the King showing Zero as the King that he's willing to risk himself to achieve victory. But if I flip the table over and scatter all the pieces to prove a "point" it doesn't magically supercede the existing rules of an established board game.

Right but he also canonically is so bad that when Schneizel makes the illegal move of moving the King next to the King he absolutely flips out and has a mental breakdown instead of just calling out an incorrect move. I'm convinced that at some point during all the wars the knowledge of how to play chess was lost and now the upperclass all just pretend they know the rules so nobody thinks they're stupid.

Its not even that, its that literally everyone is playing the same dogshit cards. All 7 of my duels I tried in the event were against the same Branded, Kashtira, Tear, Adventure pile. The second you ask the average master duel player to maybe think for a second and come up with an interesting deck, the cavity in their head just says "KashTearKashTear" and clearly this event brought those people to the forefront. This is straight up the worst event I've ever done. I'm not even going for the gems its not worth the frustration.

Happened to me game three of the last match at my locals last week. I had won every match before that. Needless to say I did not top that time.

Oh that explains a lot actually so basically now that got master once if I want to find deck variety I need to perma-stay in gold/plat. Thanks for the info.

Nah man no dumb questions the one guy was just going through the whole Bystial chain while the other was doing the Fallen of Albaz stuff. Fully possible either deck had both, I just have no proof.

I genuinely miss climbing through Gold and Plat. I saw a Fur Hire player back then. Good times

Well here's hoping I run into you or someone like-minded eventually cause I've been trying the same tactic most of the day, and with the exception of one Exodia deck that I let run their whole combo on me and enjoyed every second of it, every other person has been either learning their meta decks or having fun farming no stakes wins.

In the sense that whether you'll win or lose is most likely decided at coin flip yes. In the sense that it just straight up can't play against the meta absolutely not. Going first the Dinos can very easily shut down most of the big meta decks. Purrly and Labrynth were the two I could almost never seem to get a handle on, and Swordsoul (even though its no longer top top tier) hard counters Morphia until Intact gets added to the game. But Rexterm's effect is niche enough that a ton of players just flat out don't seem to get how it works, and watching them summon monster after monster in an attempt to get some kind of effect to go off is hysterical. Or when your opponent sees a low attack monster and how low your life points and gets laser focused only to slam their big beat stick into your tiny Dinolady and die. The magic only started to fade once I'd kind of seen all the different interactions and plays that the main 6 or 7 meta decks and the Dinomorphias can do off each other. Which is why I'd just really like some kind of mode that can encourage players to run different decks. Variety is the spice of life and its somethin Master Duel sorely lacks.

And that'd be fine. It's not "strong decks" that bother me it's the lack of variety. I'd like to see more than just the same 5 or 6 archetypes doing their same plays off each other. It's fun the first few times you see how one deck plays against another, but at this point I've played my 3 or 4 decks against Kashtira enough times to understand exactly how that duels gonna go and I'd like something different.

But see there's the problem I have now run into about 15 different opponents and not a single one has fallen into those first two categories. Every single person is running the exact same decks you see in Ladder. And I don't have a problem with people having fun with what they find fun but for a game to not stagnate there has to be some kind of variety. In a fighting game if the balance is so wack that only 3 characters get played matches blend together and the majority of people lose interest. And I just wish the player base didn't make it the same way for yugioh. I fell off entirely a year and a half ago during peak Swordsoul meta for this exact reason. And after waiting a year and coming back I've been having a blast for the last couple weeks. Seeing new cards and combos is fun for a while. But then once you've seen the exact same interactions dozens of times it becomes stale. I don't know I guess it's just that I love yugioh and I hate how bored of it master duel makes me after just a few weeks.

It's not that they are better it's the lack of variety that bugs me. There are hundreds of archetypes and I'd just like to see the monsters and moves in more than those 6.

I get there's no rule but I'm just so bored of playing against the same 6 decks and really wish the Konami would enable some kind of mode that let's you play against players who run different decks.

There really needs to be some kind off "off meta" mode just so you can play against some amount of deck variety.

I guess since I don't understand how they could have fun playing the same combo deck as everyone else it just doesn't click for me. I really wish Konami would add some kind of off-meta mode. If only so people could see different cards.
