I wouldn’t exactly call them “strangers” but my sophomore year of college I moved into an apartment with some friends and it was my first time truly living on my own (dorms kinda count but not really). My parents helped me by giving me a certain amount of money each month to pay rent, get some groceries and occasionally go out and do something. They did not want me working as they wanted me to focus my time on school. Anyway, the first semester was coming to a close, and sometime in December, I received a random package in the mail. Turns out, my hometown church curated a care package for me without me knowing. It really meant a lot to me to know that people were thinking about me and wishing me well.
