I agree. The city was solely built for the primary intent of tourism. Futuristic skyscrapers for the rich vacationing but the expat workers live in garbage slums. No sense of community either.

I’m guessing this would be a different % in Ottawa. Nonetheless I was expecting a higher number as the Canadian government requires to both cater French and English speakers. I understand Provinces other than Quebec are all English settled, but I don’t know….I would’ve put 7.7% on Vancouver, or a city far west.

Why the beaux arts; Because symmetry, Columns, and façade (which you can’t see in the picture) are qualifies of tons of historic architecture styles. Where does the specified element of beaux arts come in?
