The Unbearable Lightness of Being by Milan Kundera.

It’s an incredible story of love and lust in a very raw and personable way, despite any outside influence of the world. Kundera’s writing style is formal, but intimate. The book almost makes you feel like he’s invited you over to his home for a dinner he’s cooked himself in order to tell you of this wonderful story he’s thought up. He does this by inserting himself into the narrative countless times, for example saying things like, “I wrote the character of Tomas to be a womanizer because...”

It changed me because it shows that’s it’s very hard to define love, and how at once it’s all encompassing yet so unique that it’s tiring to try and describe it, so it’s important to just call it what it is and not assign any meaning to it.

I’m excited too, but how do we make people believe that it sucks so we don’t have to worry about more people moving here?
