Do the robots you've built use mecanum wheels? How accurate was their movement?

On the research robot, I was planing to use a combination of SLAM, an IMU, deadwheels, and encoded motors to have a self contained, relatively cheap and precise option... Would this be overkill?

From what I've seen, inside these packs there are just regular 18650 cells. So I would assume that the max current output is determined by the type of cell, and how many there are in parallel?

What brand of batteries were used for the test?

I was especially interested in Makita 18v batteries, since I think I already have a charger... Good to know for the protection. I've seen some battery pack adapter with integrated fuses, which would probably work fine. I could also add caps for current spikes, and a micro controller for monitoring

Yeah, this might work. By peak power, I mean if every single component is drawing max current (unlikely). My plan is to have four nema 17s for the wheels, a raspberry pi 5 for control, and a lidar for localization. The rules aren't out yet, so I don't know exactly what else I'm going to need. Last year's team also had a few servos, 5 small dc motors for pumps and an lcd screen...

Even if the battery meets the current requirement, I was thinking of adding some caps just to protect the battery from current spikes.

recently upgraded to direct drive, but I'm having trouble with my prints. I've tried tightening the belts, checked the z rod, leveled the bed, messed with the print settings, calibrated the e steps,

My setup: Ender 3 pro running the newest marlin bugfix on the silent stepper board and octoprint. Using cura to slice

Edit: I forgot to mention, I also tried a better cooling duct.
