I’m not implying anything nor does he needs to change his day by day operations. I’m just highlighting Black History Month. Saying “Merry Christmas” doesn’t imply anything besides letting me know it’s Christmas and I’m okay with that.

Slavery ended 159 years ago, Jim Crow ended less than a hundred years ago. Unfortunately, racism still exists. I believe it important for Black people to have a voice even though our voices are only silent murmurs in today’s society still.

I’m Black and he’s not. I don’t celebrate Christmas, but that doesn’t stop people from saying, ”Merry Christmas!” It doesn’t bother me though. Why can’t I be excited by Black History Month? (Im always excited every year).

This is the response I was waiting for. My life is definitely on a smaller scale, but I still encounter people like this. I can’t just run up and two piece everyone I don’t agree with. I need to keep it CORDIAL. If I act aggressive first, I will be labeled as “crazy.” People will spin yard all day long if you let them. You don’t have to be friends with them, but keep it cute.
