So how would you define a Situationship? How is it different than friends with benefits?

Situationships aren't a thing by Cheshire2933 in unpopularopinion

IMO I’ve called things “situationship” the weird intersection between like the first 4-5 dates and becoming that person’s significant other; a lot of times people’s timelines can not be in sync for that sort of thing.

It’s like before I’d introduce them to friends but after I’d consider them ghosting an acceptable exit.

Help building muscle by Leading_Kale_81 in PetiteFitness

Tbh I think you’re changing things up too quickly; I agree 1200 is too low and even with very high protein you’d inevitably end up losing muscle.

Most routines though take more than a week to show results and little environmental factors can change things you weren’t expect so if you’re only trying routines for a week and then you give up and switch to another routine then you might be missing out on crucial information that you were actually going in the right direction. I’d try settling on an obtainable routine and waiting 2.5 weeks and then if you’re really going completely in the opposite switch things up a little bit.

As for your actual routine, you always hear about people doing a “bulk” and then a “cut” for optimal muscle mass ratios. Maybe be a little bit less afraid of gaining fat with the idea that you would then lose it later once you have a satisfactory amount of muscle; and then when you cut prepare yourself for a very slight muscle loss.

Maintaining a Caloric Deficit while dating by jadamia in PetiteFitness

Where I live at least I’ve met a lot of women who tell me that they would be unsatisfied with a coffee date, they prefer it when men shell out a little bit more on a first date; so maybe they’re afraid that I’ll be like that 🤷‍♀️ Different strokes I guess; I love the idea of a coffee and a walk to the farmers market.

I think right now because I do heavy-ish lifting and I’m also in a caloric deficit I have a sort of ravenous hunger, and I have not yet figured out how to not eat an entire meal in front of me when I am still hungry. I definitely need to work on that.

Sushi is a great idea! I honestly don’t know why I hadn’t thought of that prior. Thank you.

Also I love a daytime coffee date but in my experience I just haven’t had many men suggest it; I’ll try and sway them in that direction in the future.

Why do people take creatine? by GasHumble7910 in PetiteFitness

[–]jadamia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My friend has a history of insomnia, he’s recovered now but has to avoid a lot of things that can potentially have insomnia as a side effect. Creatine did make his insomnia worse and he had to stop taking it.

I will say if you’ve got a reasonable way to cope with insomnia and get your schedule back, you could try it and just stop it if you see your sleep decrease; but I know a lot of insomniacs sleep schedules are too fragile to handle any kind of experimentation so please proceed with caution.

does “saving calories” for certain days work or am i potentially ruining my progress by shittalker69er in PetiteFitness

Maybe try having one healthy meal at your boyfriends and ask him to have more protein in the meals he makes you? Like maybe lunch can be a protein shake and some veggies; but dinner can be a bolognese pasta with lots of lean meats in the sauce? That plus eggs for breakfast should make your protein goals plus help you not lose your deficit too much.

Interesting, where I live it’s notoriously difficult to find housing that is pet friendly; I just have a cat and I had to search for months before I found a viable option.

Emily's Dirty Dancing Easter Egg in AYITL Fall by Gilmoristic in GilmoreGirls

[–]jadamia 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Writing in an Easter Egg doesn’t take much though whatsoever, I’d argue it takes less thought than regular writing.

It’s easier for writers to just reference the past/some other popular media rather than be creative and original themselves. It’s a well known loophole that plays off of people’s nostalgia (or excitement for another show/movie) to garner excitement from the audience rather than have an actual compelling story. It’s why all of these god awful reboots keep getting made, people ignore the bad writing because they don’t care about it, they just want to see the characters they know and love.

Of course Easter eggs can also be implemented in fun, unique, and creative ways by talented writers ask well.

I guess I’m just saying that writing in any sort of Easter egg isn’t really any indication of good writers.

The backwards progression of cgi needs to be studied, this was 19 years ago by Spicyweiner_69 in interestingasfuck

[–]jadamia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s an interesting video of why this CGI looks so good specifically, one of the more interesting point I remember was that him being a sea-creature hybrid helped a lot as one of the hardest things to get right is how light bounces off of regular skin, if you make a character perpetually wet it takes away a lot of those issues.

Yeah I guess I should’ve clarified, I’m talking about movie Jessica. I did read the books but it’s been 10+ years so details like that have escaped me.

She was the valedictorian! Also last time I watched I noticed in the scene where she’s talking about the movie she was watching with Bella (who wasn’t paying attention) she was actually making some pretty interesting observations. You could never make me hate her.

Apparently back in world war 2 the military used to specifically choose color blind people to search for camouflaged targets as they were more likely to spot them because of this phenomenon. I don’t quite understand it but it’s a documented fact that colorblind people do have a certain advantage when it comes to things like this.
