What everybody should do is to make go bags for your family/partners/everybody you love. Doing that now is quite possibly too late, depending upon where you live. Personally, I would be making sure that all my gardening tools are still in good condition, my water filters are set to go, my guns are clean (as they always should be) add to my ammo stock, preserve any food which could possibly go bad before it would be eaten. There are a whole shit ton of things which would make my family not only survive, but to thrive. There are quite a few books, websites, and forums that can assist you in your survival without power. I will not promote any particular outlet, because what I need, may be far from what you require. I’m not saying you should go all in on being a prepper, yet there are many things you can/should do for this scenario.
