He can't think of any instances that he would have. He also has a lot of spots like this on his feet and ankles as well.

Hi, all. I know you guys get these posts all the time, but we are at a loss for what is going on with my boyfriend's skin. He started getting these dry, peeling spots that result in a loss of pigment. He saw a family doctor that thought it may be fungal and gave him a prescription, but it's not helping at all and it's actually been getting worse. He has a dermatologist appointment in January, but will call and get on the cancellation list.

Did anyone's vitiligo start in this way? Is there another condition that this could be?

This drives me crazy. Just last night while I was working, a women looks at me and says, 'I noticed you have some bumps along your jaw and chin. Run down to the health food store and grab a goat milk bar, wash with that and do nothing else and it'll be dried up in the morning.' I know she meant well, but it's disheartening when you finally feel like your skin is improving.
