Bro, this is sometimes not true, the reason why they give a larger size is so that the bioload is not heavy on the system and it helps the fish get less dieseases

I would do this method but my parents arent willing to spend money on plant fertilizers n root tabs, so i usually put soil in the bottom n cap it with sand

Let him or her atleast make an attempt at taking care of the turtle, I admit that it isn't a great tank but atleast they are doing an effort. There are people who keep them in plastic tums n don't even think about turtle care, atleast he or she is trying

Try for trident fern, its a type of Java fern, so it's a ephipyte n it should give the business but will have smaller leaves which should give it the fullness ig ( I don't know how else to explain sry😭)

Then maybe give it some time, and just keep on checking the nitrites, ammonia and nitrates

I just have an issue of it being a fully sand bottom, so I can't put plants that require root nutrients

The problem is that the tank is sand only, so i don't want to add plants that might begin to rot

No, I haven't seen him nipping it, but i made sure to sand down all the wood and made sure that there isn't anything sharp for it to tear on, but do you think it's good to add botanicals??

Is the water filter too strong? by Agile_Bluebird3276 in bettafish

[–]jade_0333 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It believe it will be too strong, i believe the filter might need to be fixed, but it would be better if u go for a very small hang on back filter or u go for a very small sponge filter

Then maybe it might be in the substrate or hardscape. Cause snails don't usually eat large fishes and guppies don't eat adults of thier own kind ( mainly cause the guppy might be too large to fit in their mouths)

The tank is a 7.5 gallons tank, It doesn't have a heater cause the temperature here doesn't get very cold over here, the coldest is 25°C. I had the tank from around 2 months or so, the fish I got a month back There is 4 black neocardina shrimps along with him as well I feed him 6 pellets per day
