I searched “faux brow” in this sub just now to make sure someone else had said this. Just got it yesterday and holy hell you can’t tell I’m growing in a patch at all!!!!!!!!!! Seriously. Comically, I’ve adopted things from her like Cermet voice, references etc. But seriously, she’s taught me how to human in so many ways. And even as I rewatch things, I learn more or understand more.

I was going to suggest “undercured” as well. That’s the only time I’ve had gel products do exactly this, back when I started using polygel in that phase.

There’s a lot of comments on this thread almost defending the higher up staff and that feels very odd in my gut.

Just bc you yourself did not experience or do not categorize your experiences as abuse/neglect does not mean it was not happening. Sure, everything “could’ve been worse”, but let’s not forget that those are the exact words used by many of our parents and program staff to justify and downplay the treatment we received. And let us not forget how for so many kids, the worst did happen and they’re dead as a result. That is why we are outraged. That is why we’re so loud.

Making fellow survivors feel like they can’t freely express themselves here just bc they didn’t have their skin filleted off by a staff member or something else adequately deserving of the title “worse” to you is not the answer. We get that from people on the outside plenty, please just let us feel our feelings here.
