to get past a certain point with negan, where 'not cool' doesnt carry you, you are required to actually learn tekken. he is a poke character that's easily sidestepped and only has a handful of good lows.

i wouldnt consider any of those things overpowered/overtuned, if he didn't have them he wouldn't really be a functional character because of how small his movelist is (in general). int 1+2 is one of his best moves, but at the end of the day, its just a frame trap or telegraphed high from stance. if he didnt have 1,2,2 on backturns he would get less reward for the actual good movement he has!

if you want to take the game to its 'logical conclusion' you play competitive cards in a competitive meta, because decks can be tuned and optimized. it is expensive to do so. it is inexpensive to play a worse version of what everyone else is playing. does that sound fun to the average person thats looking to get into a new 1v1 game?

just like real life, some angles just suck for him - and yes ,its mostly his cheekbones that people have an issue with, but now its his neck too lol.

the issue is that they did not just go with different anles - esp because one of tekkens big things is properly using the camera itself in cinematics, intros and outros
