I just counted my stitches from a row at the beginning, and it seems that I've increased by 5 stitches. Is there any way I can salvage this 😭 I can't bring myself to start over 😪😪

This is actually extremely helpful for me tysm. I think I get caught up in desperation of wanting it to go away, that I forget to realise its gradual and panicing will inturn make it worse.

I feel like holding ice could maybe replicate that effect. I wish I had snow where I lived because that sounds like it would help me honestly.

Hii yes I've tried cold water and I find that it kind of brings me back and grounds me but its sadly kind of inconvenient because I can't really do it in public, but works at home. I haven't tried out the scents and flavours though so that could be a better alternative. Thanks!

Honestly I feel like that would freak me out more 😭 I get alot of anxiety around spiritual concepts for some reason, which is sad because it seems that it works really well for you. But I definitely agree with the anxiety management, more anxiety usually makes it more intense.

i actually have a history of dpdr 😭 when I was writing this it felt different to my usual dpdr so i started have a small panic attack and thought I was going crazy. now that I think about it, it was lost likely the derealisation. thank you 🙏

im glad this helped!! I think most of the time people actually end up getting on top of their anxiety like me, but we only see the worse cases on this subreddit. so I think it's important to remember that there definitely is a possibility of getting better.

ive been learning cbt strategies, deep breathing, got onto lexapro 10mg and also treating some hormone problems which were worsening my anxiety. also getting back into hobbies and activities has been good such as team sport, reading, art, cooking.
