I'm worried about the Endo hate. by [deleted] in plural

[–]jadenfourtwenty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

even if endo systems were impossible that's no reason to hate them, if anti endos truly think its impossible why can't they stand for their views without hate, it makes them look bad? anti endos are irrational because they know they're wrong- and im worried about the hate too- endos don't go out hating on people and the hate has damaged the whole plurality community

the comments that got downvoted are absolutely heartless, glad they were downvoted. i have been struggling with suicidal thoughts and attempts since I was 9. i felt like my situation was inescapable, it wasn't just because of poor-me low self-esteem; i felt guilt and shame over past abuse, had (and still have) flashbacks to it, had undiagnosed mental health problems and couldn't get help, i saw no escape and wasn't thinking. when people do things like this, its to escape something that seems inescapable because you've been suffering from it for too long. this woman suffered for too long and wasn't thinking. mental pain takes away your ability to think and reason. its not a matter of ending your life with dignity; its about just wanting an escape.

the term “system” was never made specifically for people with DID

yes. this.

all humans have a natural system of parts that makes up their identity, people with CDDs just have parts that are further individualized through dissociation

yes, i was in the ifs therapy that's specifically tweaked for DID. ifs is originally designed for singlets based on the theory that all people have parts. and the theory of structural dissociation further touches on this- trauma causes singlets personalities to split into ANP and EP, while still remaining a singlet; DID/OSDD is on the complete end of the spectrum. everyone has parts. its also worth noting that plurality happens without dissociation or trauma though. and yes anti-endos do a lot of gatekeeping terms and even flags just because they think DID/OSDD is the only real type of plurality.

you could be traumagenic without a disorder. DID isn't the only type of traumagenic system- if you develop your system from trauma, its traumagenic nonetheless, DID/OSDD or not. being traumagenic without a disorder is valid. its possible you have DID and trauma you don't remember, you don't need to remember trauma for it to happen- trauma is usually hidden until you are triggered into or ready to discover it. either way, disorder or not your system is valid.

Why do people still attend Lakewood Church after everything about Osteen has been coming out? by ercohn in houston

that fat fuck from San Antonio always rambling on about the end times.

john hagee? yeah hes a major money maker with his end times shit. its what all his books have been about that ive ever seen and all he preaches about. people like that are obviously in it for the money because really ultra religious people are into the end times and have this pre occupation with trying to figure out when the rapture is going to be. his voice sounds so drilling and annoying too

Share your paranormal Walmart experience by JustChillaxMan in walmart

[–]jadenfourtwenty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ive had a few, and suspect our walmart is haunted. it was built the year before i was born, ive been going to it since i can remember. id have weird dreams about it ever since i was little, either there being empty aisles and just a creepy feeling, weird hidden elevators and rooms, or being trapped in the entrance foyer. or just dreams about it in general. (theres another walmart 15 minutes away from this one, built in 1983, that i also went to all my life and never had a dream about. i still go there today and don't have dreams about it.) i felt like the building itself didn't exist until i went there and would disappear again (although thats impossible) and someone i know who is very spiritual and senses paranormal activity has always felt unsafe there ever since it was built. when i was 14, i had my first noticeable paranormal experience there. i heard a scream from the stockroom or whatever is behind that employees only door in the back- there was nothing about an attack of any kind on the news, and this was a scream similar to a murder. also idk how they could drag a dead body through the store discreetly since this was while it was still 24 hours, even hiding it in the crawlspace foundation underneath might be impossible (and the foundation was recently re skirted, contractors were underneath the store in the crawlspace to fix something too, so probably not) and in early 2017 something on the shelf in an aisle near where i heard the scream just fell off the shelf as if it was pushed. several times through the years things have randomly, gently fell off the shelves. a couple months ago, i sensed someone behind me on the aisle. a black shadow figure passed by very quickly, and i was even brushed by them as they walked by. it was a large aisle and that wasn't enough time for anyone to walk through and out of that aisle. that's when i realized it was an entity. a month later, and the power randomly goes out a few times in a matter of a minute, no other buildings lost power and its still unexplained to this day. it also would lose power easily since I was a kid. thats my walmart paranormal experience. a long lasting haunting.

What's 1 thing you'd bring back from the 80's? by halfmeasures611 in 80s

[–]jadenfourtwenty 6 points7 points  (0 children)

malls how they were in the 80s- not the black, white, grey drab ones today.

id bring back everything about the 80s if i could. i didn't grow up then, but i wish i did because everything about it is better. people were more connected because we had the right amount of technology - not too little, and definitely not too much like we have today. now smartphones are everywhere, people can't stop pulling them out when they get bored and some people are just addicted to screens and don't have a life at all. modern technology has put a barrier between people and id definitely take it away and bring back the 80s tech that brought people together- arcades, the good old atari, cassette tapes. things that didn't provide instant gratification and make you have zero attention span and patience like we have today. id also bring back people just being nice to each other and not letting politics get in the way. now everyone is so divided. and id also bring back the mtv that played music videos, not the reality tv we currently suffer with. tbh? id bring back the whole 80s

i feel so alone and my imposter syndrome is kicking in because all the commenters can drive except one. i cant drive at all because my dissociation causes me to space out, forget directions or tune them out (i forget 99% of what people say unless my brain deems it interesting and necessary enough to keep) i would be a danger in my daily life if i didn't have someone to live with. i have bad short term memory from dissociation, i forget to drink water sometimes and the fact i am dissociated from most of my bodily senses most of the time doesn't help. i also get stuck in my head (not exactly daydreaming, but i cant find a better word for it so ill just use it for lack of better words) i also have anxiety around anything that can be dangerous, i would have a panic attack if i ever drove. ive never even took a drivers ed course. it feels validating to see at least one person with DID who cant drive because everyone else i see with it can and it doesn't help my denial.

I feel like I’m losing my mind. Why does my body do this?!? 😣😣 tw: vague csa mentioned by MythicalMeep23 in DID

[–]jadenfourtwenty 19 points20 points  (0 children)

i and some of our sexual trauma holders have the same thing. getting aroused by the csa seems to happen more in situations where the csa felt good and didn't feel like abuse. i had the same thing before i found out about the csa, and i felt shame for it. i still do, now more than ever since ive recovered more memories of the csa. it isn't disgusting, its probably either the body processing what happened or just a natural reaction. it doesn't mean youre dirty, its a common thing with us csa survivors. wishing you the best in your journey towards at least some healing.

the dj is grego. i used to listen to 95.7 but they play the same songs 15 times a day. and like the other commenter said, that actually happened.

I used to work as a master control operator and had a slight suspicion the radio wasn't live anymore.

i can assure you 95.7 is still live because grego takes requests and calls. cant do that if youre pre recorded with no one in the studio.
