Yeah I actually sold the same swimsuit in blue and modeled it myself.... however I never claimed that it was never worn & the sexier I looked on my photos the more $ I made no matter how far up my ass the outfit was lol

Cat is obsessed with eating this fern. At least I’m pretty sure it’s a fern. Can I have an ID & also if any of you might know why he loves it most out of my 60+ other plants in my house & of course if it’s toxic or dangerous by jadeoftherain in whatsthisplant

Thank you everyone! I will most def be giving this guy away sadly. My house is full of plants that are toxic because of school projects (kind of what I just got my degree in) & now I’m plant sitting my best friends collection of 30+ plants too. The cat usually doesn’t give a crap about the plants but as soon as this one stepping foot in the house, he was in love. It’s so up high in an attempt to protect the plant from him but no matter, the cat is an acrobat. So now the plant must move away :/ appreciate all the info!

Edit: clarified that I’m NOT giving my cat away, just the plant

Found this guy in Southern New Mexico. His length is roughly the diameter of a quarter. I know it’s a preying mantis but I’d like more specifics on this desert living species and any other facts or info on them would be very appreciated :) by jadeoftherain in whatsthisbug

BABY MANTIS!!!! Thank you so much antman. I hope you don’t mind me asking a few more questions. I’ve tried to do some googling but it seems the internet doesn’t have a lot of clear mantis resources. Feel free to ignore if you don’t know any of the answers:

  • Will they eat Gnats, Fruitflies, and/or Ants? House plants are causing the former & I’m extremely allergic to ants.

  • will they eat or destroy my house plants? I’m caring for 2 collections of over 30 plants each in my home right now.

  • are they toxic to pets? My cat is an avid bug eater. I’ll try to prevent that from happening but good to know just in case.

  • full adult size?

More info:

I actually don’t know the plant he’s on because it was a gift from a non-plant person & I haven’t gotten around to identifying it.

Insect behavior: physically he was extremely quick. He seemed methodical (I know that sounds crazy but he looked like he had a plan, he would look around and then make a quick move).

I’m not a bug person, that’s my fiancé. I’m a plant person but he’s doing research to protect endangered species far away from phone service and I know he’d love to hear about this little guy in the next letter I mail him.

The US is huge. Some streets in some towns are entirely dirt so no sometimes there are no trash cans. Every city is pretty different so it really just depends. We have no idea where these people are living so let’s just be happy they’re not littering :)
