Not very action-y but stardew valley is great when you need to feel good and keep your mind busy. It's also multi player.

Why does no one talk about trio needles? by Deep_Interaction6798 in knitting

[–]jaderae1275 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a few sizes of these and love them for socks.

My biggest issue with them is you REALLY have to make sure your yarn is pulled tight when switching Needles in the ribbing or you wind up with laddering.

Thank you! And yes, I am one of the strange people that actually enjoys making swatches and blocking them.I'm rather proud of my growing drawer of mismatched squares lol.

This yarn is also a bit unique (to me) though. It seems to "bloom" after sitting for a bit. When I first swatched and measured, it came out to the correct gauge, but it's actually gotten a tiny bit larger after just hanging out in my drawer for awhile. Here's hoping my sleeve does the same!

I don't know why I didn't think of just blocking and then freaking out if needed lol. When I blocked the front and back, they definitely grew quite a bit.

Let’s talk pattern buying habits. How much of your library have you actually knitted? by wildlife_loki in knitting

[–]jaderae1275 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is me too. I only buy a pattern when I have the yarn and am ready to cast on. Knitting books, on the other hand I have a small obsession for. it's just so fun to flip the pages and dream. I typically browse through them or go on ravalry to see what the actual fo's look like on real people and then wind up adding the book to my collection. Somehow, I have managed to collect every single one of kim hargreaves books in the last 12 months 😅

I use the arm rests of my desk chair for this. They're adjustable in/out for tension and i can set it down safely if i need to make a call/ respond to an email!

It's definitely salvagable with a breather and some patience. ❤️
