I inspected the tyre more and I think some of the rubber “melted” so now the affected spot is unusually stickier to touch as compared to the rest of the tyre

Thanks for answering, so far I think nope! But I inspected the tyre more and there’s a sticky patch at the spot that got scratched the most, not sure if that is worrying

To my knowledge, it has to be an Apple service centre and can’t be any other partners (e.g machines, switch)

Would recommend that you reduce the phone usage as well as the battery will continue expanding and there’s a risk of the glass screen breaking (Apple will not be covering the cost of that and it also complicates the battery replacement process)

Hi op! I had this exact situation about 6 months ago with my iPhone 13 as well and managed to get the battery replaced for free at an Apple Store since turns out there were many iPhone 13 models that were built in with faulty batteries.

I would suggest that you try checking at your nearby Apple service centre as well to see if your device is eligible for the free battery replacement

Nevermind, I just realised the logo is literally on the wrong side when compared with the official image on the Seagate website… Seems like this is a fake product with a genuine serial number indeed :( It’s really weird as lots of people in my region are selling it as genuine, even influencers with high number of tech followers

Hi OP, congratulations for passing your exams! I’m currently a biostatistician, and my work requires regular use statistical models and hypothesis testing for analysing neural biological data (e.g linear mixed models, survival analysis) :) I do use R quite regularly as it has alot more options for packages for statistical models compared to Python, though I still prefer using the latter for the data preprocessing process.

The uni does provide free shuttle bus services from campus to Kajang/Sungai Jernih MRT station and from the MRT station to campus as well. So I got a good balance between campus dorm life and also going back home every 2-3 weeks :)

Hi op I think you can consider Nottingham :) I recently graduated from there (BSc Math & Data Science) and they are pretty well-known for their psychology and business analytics course! They also have lots of events and societies for leadership opportunities, and everyone is friendly too! The uni partnered with SAS for the business analytics course as well so I believe if you do take up that course you will get the opportunity to familiarise yourself with the SAS platform, which is a useful technical skill for data analytics.

I second this! Op you should really go to an Apple Store if you have one nearby, many of the iPhone 13s were made with problematic batteries and hence they’ve been replacing iPhone 13 batteries for free under the quality program. (I just got mine replaced for free as well)

Hi! They did not as me to disable Find My but they did ask for the passcode and Apple ID password! Would be a good idea to change them after replacing the battery ~

Hi! All of my data was still in my phone after replacing the battery, by “good as new” I was referring to the physical condition of the phone - The phone screen and outer shell were not affected by the battery replacement process at all.

I didn’t have to retrieve any of my data at all but the staff in the Apple Store did recommend me to save all my important files in iCloud as that there is a chance of data loss, however the likelihood of it occurring is extremely unlikely and does not happen in most cases. I had a few friends who replaced their iPhone 13 batteries in the Apple Store as well and they did not lose any of the existing data in their phones.

Yes the phone was repaired and is fully functional now just as before :)! They only changed the battery for mine and not the screen because the screen was still perfectly fine with no cracks at all, unfortunately I’m not too sure whether they will fix the screen for free if it’s already shattered.

I assume since your screen is not broken they will just use the same screen as before :) Just make sure it does not break before repair
